I left during 2023 for personal reasons. I wasn't feeling the direction the tag was going and I knew exactly where it was heading. Turns out my suspicions were correct because everything I've always thought/said came true. I personally do not like the discord wave and I will never like the discord wave. You'll never catch me in the discord wave because I find it too personal and that's exactly why you have so many people trying to bypass boundaries when you don't even know these people. There's no roleplay etiquette anymore. The shit has no structure and y'all are blurring lines between ooc and ic like y'all need real life relationships and not fictional stories. The 1x1 culture is the direct reason for this. I'll never write a 1x1 so if you came into this; relationship centered and finding my fc to be an aesthetic and never genuinely wanted to connect with others beside me, you can kindly exit and go back to where you came from. We're not the same kind of roleplayer. I'm writing a story. I'm not Method Man. This nigga can literally turn into goofy ass Marlon Wayans or someone less aesthetically pleasing to the sight when my muse goes elsewhere and you'll be left with your feelings hurt because you wanted the face and refused to build genuine connections that weren't romantic. We're not the same kind of roleplayer and that's why I'm not for this wave of urban rpers. You'll never understand how I operate with a group like mentality that gets everyone involved. If you are accepted, every single person has to do their job and put forth an effort; not just in romantic relationships.

People won't understand a veteran roleplayer like myself when I say that discord killed the essence of black roleplays. When it transitioned to discord during the pandemic, everyone was inside and bullshitting. We all were just having a time and trying to wrap our minds around this virus that was holding us captive for however long. We acted like ourselves vs. the character and craved attention mostly so all those rps were either drama or romance centered, but once WE popped out of that shit, we log back in here and it's another pandemic happening with discord shit. All of these lil clone rps that were like what we were doing on discord was in the tag. Everything is always copied and mimicked. Boom. Put out dash rps. The people that joined I kid you not were delayed like kids who went back to school after the pandemic. The effort was no longer there and they were more relationship centered than ever, but cried like a baby when they didn't get who they wanted. It's the same pattern every time and they act like people don't have eyes or some shit. I'm not going to pacify one person so I've always said that hey make your own rp and they always did; copying shit from this one. Once everyone vanished, that tag was obsolete or stuck in an internal loop of 1x1 calls, the same discord plot, etc. They showed no growth or diversity. That shit is stuck where it was when so many people walked away, but damn. Credit still isn't given to people who deserve it. Shit. Oh well.
