clarke-cooper:
“Oh no, no no. This can’t be happening.” Clarke stared at the app on his phone with an alarmed expression, the discovery that Northlake didn’t have Uber was akin to a shot through the heart for the male. Just when he thought he’d witnessed the extent of Northlame’s small-town tragedies quirks, it managed to surprise him once more. “No UberEats? Does that mean I’m going to have to eat from the cafeteria? You can’t be serious, this is child abuse.”
bea had been watching the scene with rapt interest. she couldn’t help but be intrigued by clarke, it wasn’t often new people moved to northlake. it being as ella had so eloquently wasn’t put it, “the belly button of america” and all. she pushed off her locker and approached, armed with an endless supply of charm and a wisconsin smile. “yeah we don’t get a lot of the stuff from the cities. you could always drive out to milwaukee or appleton but that’s a ways out. it’s a day trip you gotta plan for and mostly girls just go to get prom dresses. our cafeteria is questionable on its best days but you could always pick up something from dairy’s”
