To answer your question, you should never feel obligated to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable in any way, shape or form. If you are uncomfortable or scared when interacting with anyone, especially a family member, you are totally within your rights to avoid all contact with that person.
I urge you too also confide in someone in your life that you trust as what you’ve described may seem innocuous but actually could have some very serious connotations and I doubt you are the only one to experience it. I’m glad that telling me helped you but your safety and comfort is of huge importance and shouldn’t be compromised.

Hello Sweet-peas!
Apologies for my unscheduled absence recently. Life got on top of me and I had to take some time and sort it all out. When I started this blog I set myself very clear rules about how and when I can use it so that it stays a healthy hobby and doesn’t become my singular focus. Unfortunately, that means that this blog is one of the first things to suffer if life gets hectic. In future I will try and at least keep you updated.
