welp, i heard the game that has consistently been my favourite for the last 10 years is getting a remaster AND a movie.

*screaming*

"I've been... down the mines first, when it... when Beth and I fell from up here. Then the Sanatorium. The monster... I couldn't have escaped." It wasn't just that, though: she didn't want to escape, it had eaten Beth's body, left the head, no way she wouldn't return the favor. "Up until now, at least."

"you jumped like you were wearing moon shoes." of course they have to exaggerate, to humor themselves mostly. they know chris will eventually get back at them, but it's all in good fun right?

At Hannah's urging, Chris found himself standing completely still and waiting with baited breath. Flickers of his last fumble which had resulted in Jack's death flashed through his mind. He didn't fully understand just what the hell was going on here, his mind a chaotic maelstrom of thought.

One of the creatures was nearby, feet crunching on hidden branches in the snow until finally it disappeared into the snowstorm. Only then did Chris release the breath he'd been holding.

"Hannah, I- You're alive?" Hope shone in his gaze, voice giving a faint waver from the intensity of emotions brewing within.

"Is it really you...?"

It was too late for Jack, but despite the horror - horror that washed on numb skin, Hannah felt she didn't have enough emotion left to properly respond to it now - at the sudden decapitation she had witnessed, there was so much more relief at the sight of Chris still standing. The moment Jack had told her about the girl who had to be Emily back in the mines, she had known they had to be back at the lodge. It was the anniversary and they were a bunch of freaks, after all.

She couldn't have shot the monster without risking to set Chris on fire as well, so she had waited, holding her breath; at Chris' tentative question she rushed out of the woods, to the only person besides her brother she had truly wanted to see. She almost hugged him, but stopped before daring that, reaching to grab his arm instead. "Thank God. We have to take you back inside, that thing could come back any moment." Unless it had found someone else to snack on. She glanced back at Jack's body. "We can talk on the way, but I have to take his flame-thrower, don't... don't look, okay? Here, take mine in the meanwhile," she started slipping the strap off her shoulder, so Chris would be kept safe while she--well, she tried not to think about what she was about to do.

his reaction was priceless! they can't help but let out a loud cackle that quickly quiets down so they wouldn't create too much noise. then again, chris did just shout the lords name.. consequences of their actions aside- ally keeps their cheshire cat grin on display while speaking to him, tilting their head slightly.
