But canon happened some years ago now and you've both grown and healed together and allowed your relationship to finally bloom since then, so now you make fun of each other saying they're acting "ooc" or "out of character"

They're only strong when they fight literal children, one of whom is deliberately pulling their punches.

In fact, the Knight actively avoids going up against opponents who could give them a fair fight. The only reason they have a win count of two for two against Dark World rulers is because they attacked when those rulers were tired or had their backs turned.

They slice Tenna from behind, while he's distracted by his joy over the Fun Gang promising to find him a new home and tired out from his fight against them.

To make it worse, if the player recruited everyone, this attack isn't even enough to kill him. Tenna recovers in a day and is good as new the next time he and the Fun Gang interact. If they'd actually squared up instead of taking a cheap shot, Tenna would have most likely grounded the Knight's ass into the stage floor.

With Flowery, they run away from him, even though he's visibly tired from the fight against the Fun Gang. They panic so much over him almost catching up to them they run face-first into a wall. Now unfortunately Flowery's fatigue made it so he couldn't defeat the Knight in the end, but the Knight's actions imply that if Flowery hadn't exhausted himself he would've slimed them out and they were well aware of that
