“There comes a time in your life when you realize that you’re the only one you have. You can be sitting in a dining hall surrounded by 50 people, or you can be in the presence of the one you love, where ever you are, whatever you’re doing the time will come. When the time comes you will feel as if the wind has been knocked out of you, keep going anyway. You will think you’re unable to go on, keep going anyway. Through all the dark times, keep going anyway and pretty soon you’ll see that you’re all you need each and every day.”

Even though I'm depressed as hell, I make an effort to help other depressed people feel better and sometimes succeed

“When you left, I was sad. Not the type of sad that exists when you’re all alone on a Sunday night; wishing you had someone to cuddle under the blankets with and binge watch Netflix. I was the type of sad that knocked the breath out of me in the middle of a meeting on a brisk Monday morning. I was the type of sad that took residence within the very core of my soul and echoed through my bones. The type of sad that every now and again, my heart skips a beat subconsciously protesting going on without you. When you left, I was the type of sad that forever changes the mere existence of a person.”

We cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever. We must stand up and move on to the next action.
