I'm not upset that my ship isn't validated by actormen. He can interpret destiel as platonic all he wants. I don't give a fuck. But he wasn't just denying destiel, he was actively homophobic about it. He compared a confession of a gay love that was written by a gay man to a coming out of a son to his father, ffs. I'm angry that this kind of homophobia is still acceptable, that it gets cheers from the audience. I'm angry that queer fans had to deal with this bullshit again.

I also really don't appreciate how people on here say "oh, but what do the fans expect when they ask these questions, it's on them that they were treated like that". Well, firstly, jackles spent a past few years flirting with the idea of destiel at the cons. I don't blame fans for believing that he changed his mind. Secondly, I think it's fucking reasonable to expect an actor to not be a homophobic dick to you. Let's not shift the blame from actormen onto the fans please
