Chapter 24 - Filthy little rat / Chapter 25 - It’s the city
With her eyes closed, Erin could only wait to see what would happen. She knew she wasn’t getting out of here alive unless some kind of miracle would take place. But in all fairness, what were the odds of her getting that miracle? Her only hope right now was that Jay would survive. She couldn’t bear the thought of him dying because of this.
“Look at me,” Kyle Vito hissed, trying to force her to open her eyes with his words.
Erin wouldn’t give him the satisfaction, he didn’t deserve it. And so she kept her eyes shut while her heartbeat picked up the pace.
It happened all so fast after that, she barely could keep track of what was happening. Footsteps above her, on the staircase, next to her. Slamming doors. And eventually a familiar voice that sent a chill down her spine.
Voight.
Maybe she’d get her mircle after all.
