I heard a quote today

that settled somewhere deep:

because you are the good

Maybe you are the phone call

that makes someone feel less alone.

The safe place.

The encouragement.

The laughter that interrupts

a difficult day.

Maybe you keep waiting

for the light to find you—

without realizing

how often you have been the light

for everyone else.

But even the light needs warmth.

Even the giver deserves to receive.

Even the strong one deserves someone

who notices when they are tired.

Never stop being good.

Just remember that goodness

To be honest, I can’t be around people who think my growth is competition.

If we can’t be happy for one another, then we have zero in common.

I’m not trying to outgrow people.

I’m trying to become who I was supposed to be.

And if that makes somebody uncomfortable, that means they were only comfortable with the version of me that stayed small.

Real people clap when you grow.

Fake people only support you when they still feel ahead of you.
