i know this is the coldest take ever but like i need context on how tf the murderplay actually came to be. it plays such a huge role in loumand and loustat's present dynamics but the audience have noooo idea what actually happened. sometimes the show acts like the play/claudia's execution was something lestat had no control over ("it wasn't your fault" in season 2...) and other times it acknowledges blame on lestat's part (episode 6 of tvl). which is it??? i know it's more complex than that and i'm not asking for an explanation so it can redeem lestat or villianize armand or whatever i just want to know WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. i know, crazy thing to ask from the unreliable narrator show, but still.
