“Does that answer your question?” She knew it didn’t. It would just leave Jack wanting more, but that was exactly what Dot wanted. Just keep the girl on her toes just enough. After all, a girl with that much spunk had to be carefully watched. 

“What do you think?” she asked, flashing Jack a half-smile. 

Ziel snapped out of the trance and quickly got a hold of her automatic gun and pointed it towards the pyro. Slowly, she was coming back to her senses and getting aware of the situation. However she still observed and waited while taking a few slow and careful steps back.

“A word of advice, darling,” she began. It was clear it was a woman’s voice. A British woman at that. “This is a war. And in war there are no truces. Only winners.” With that, she shot a flare. 

“I take it the red hands weren’t your doing?” she added in, trying to peek into his notebook. She acted like her normal self, as though she wasn’t just about to be crushed and eaten by a giant monster.
