I usually get my references from Pinterest or Rednote! But reference images are just references, we're never gonna get a 100% match, and that's totally fine. For example, if I want to draw Will playing guitar, I'll look for a reference of someone sitting and playing guitar. That ref gives me info on perspective, clothing folds, and environment. But when I actually draw it, I tweak things based on how I want it to look aesthetically.

One tip: you can also collect small parts of references — like clothing folds, hand poses, or eye perspective, and combine them!

About the “heads/faces don’t match refs” thing: we can’t just swap faces from a reference. We have to consider Willmack’s actual facial features (like their eye placement and bone structure), and also their body type (they're both 180cm+, so I draw them with 7 to 8 heads proportion).

As for “head doesn't match the body” — I think that’s usually a proportion issue. Shoulders, head, ribcage, neck, arms, legs… everything has its own proportions. If you get the proportions and perspective right, those mismatches won't happen. I also double-check my proportions and perspective regularly while drawing!

And last ,you can look at lots of Willmack photos! Front view, side view, whatever. Their features are so recognizable!
