"earth is for earthlings" and the "homegrown all-american hero" opposed to clark and "i'm protecting my home from an invasive species"

they want superman to be "tougher on crime" when he's not executing petty thieves in the street and giving them a chance to rehabilitate themselves

even though they were just complaining about potentially being at the mercy of an indestructible superpowerful alien that isn't beholden to any higher authority and how he could become a tyrant if he wanted to even though he demonstrably doesn't and is actively opposed to any steps that would make him one

and then when one of them gets superman powers he starts executing petty criminals in the streets and smashing skyscrapers after he decides he's not beholden to a higher authority! because all he wanted to do was lash out after experiencing misfortune, and he was convinced by someone with authority over him that superman was the cause of it!
