how you ended up feeding off of your lieutenant was mostly a blur on your end, but Simon could remember it clear as day. that is until the point you had about a cup and a half of his blood down your throat does it start to get a bit hazy.

out of everyone on your team, Simon was the only one you hadn't bitten. he never offered so you never asked. he's kind of spooky.. you would much rather feed from an eager and willing Soap rather than your brooding lieutenant.

of course, until the night it's unavoidable

you were injured, and while vampires have regeneration abilities, there comes a certain point where you need blood to help your healing along.

simon can't put it off any longer, not with you huddled and sobbing your last shreds of energy away.

"you shouldn've taken that bullet. you should know better."

hes lecturing you as he's taking off his gloves, giving you access to his inner arm.

I know.. I'm sorry I know!!

you're sobbing between words. vampire or not, a bullet wound to your abdomen is painful, you doubt anyone would be able to hold back all of their tears.

he's forcing his forearm to your mouth, flexing his arm to make his veins pop more.

"on with it then."

you graciously bite into his tattooed arm like a Christmas ham. you hold his arm to your mouth with shaking hands and quivering shoulders. simon tries not to watch you like a hawk, but hes fascinated by the way you gulp down his blood. he wasn't sure what he expected it to feel like, maybe medical needles. wasn't expecting warm waves of dull pleasure. a numbing tingle that warmed his arm and made is brain fuzzy.

his muscle is practically pacifying you, quieting your sobs and satiating your hunger. you're sniffles of pain quiet, slowly. you can feel the effects of his blood helping heal your wounds. his free hand rests on your shoulder. it's huge.

being this close to your lieutenant wasn't common, let alone under these circumstances. but you lean into his touch. this was much more intimate than either of you had intended, but something about your immediate need of him.

his body is directly healing you. Simon didn't think he could help anyone like this ever. but watching you fall into his touch, blood dripping down your quivering chin, there's a euphoria he's never experienced.

he is disappointed when it ended, when you pulled yourself away.

you force yourself to release the meat of his arm. holding his arm close, open mouth panting like a wild animal, you try to thank him. drinking from your lieutenant was akin to finding a fresh spring in a desert. his blood was like hot tea, cinnamon spicy, brown sugar sweet. a mix of bourbon and a melted sugar cube.

simon could hear your strained thank yous. despite being a bit lightheaded himself he pulled you against his chest. the pinpricks of your fangs sealed up almost immediately. you panted into his chest.
