TLDR Kiro is a descendant of the demonic race known as the Arania, or the spider clan. Kiro himself has no idea of his bloodline, but the vampires are immediately drawn to him for some odd reason. Carla and Karlheinz are the only ones that can recognize what he is.

As for how Kiro ended up in the Sakamaki house, incredibly long story short is that Karl wanted to see what would happen. Interacting with an Aranic descendant could have a lot of potential and could go a lot of different ways, it could be a good push for his plan. While he didn't intend for Yui and Kiro to be there at the same time, Kiro's situation aligned in his favour and he wanted to seize the opportunity, plus he thought them meeting could be interesting. After all Kiro is also a human with a demons heart, just slightly less literally

The Arania

Along with the 5 superior demonic races-the firstbloods, bats, vibora, wolves and alder, in my world there was a sixth clan called the Aranic clan, or spiders

the Arania had a unique trait to other demons, like humans they could awaken. As they interacted with members of the bat clan (or first bloods) their soul as well as their blood would become more powerful, for them and whomever consumed it. Upon awakening they would even surpass the power of their demonic colleagues, not including firstbloods.

I have a whole backstory on that and what happened to the Arania but to simplify it a bit their ruler was killed by Geisbach and they were hunted to extinction during the Millenial war

After the death of their queen Leriale, their quality blood was sought after by both the vampires and the first bloods to build their troops power, and they were often imprisoned to be used for their blood and killed before they could awaken. They died out centuries ago, at least to the other clans knowledge.

A handful of the Arania escaped under the lead of Leriales son Decimus, one of the only remaining awakened Arania. Decimus used his remaining ability to suppress their Aranic DNA and appear human, so that it could only be uncovered if they awakened-by when it would be too late for a bat or first blood to take advantage of their power.

I don't need to get into Decimus' life story but in short he fell in love with a human. It was incredibly unlikely for a human to have a child with Aranic genetics, but by some miracle they did, and the Aranic dna that had been suppressed rather than fizzling out continued from child to child, lying dormant until it could awaken. That’s where Kiro comes in
