14 months: he's a lot more whiney, calls for dad and mom ALL DAY LONG. He's transitioning to needing things like food and milk...to wanting...this, that, everything. Not gonna lie...I got irritated the other day. He kept whining and whining for no good reason. I handed him over to my husband and said, "he's so annoying sometimes!!!" 😧 today's a new day. He's transitioning from baby to full blown toddler and I've gotta be patient. I want him to know there are consequences in life but that one can explore and be free as well...omg this is just the beginning of parenting 😣 I just need to stick with the basics for now...like...comb hair. I don't know why I waited so long to give my son his first doodle book. Book making was my favorite art class at #OCHSA aka #ocsa. Doing a little dance after going to the potty this morning. When I 1st heard about #ec and didn't know what it was about, I thought it'd be lame to try unless he potty trained by an extraordinary age. After 14 months, and still only part time pottying, this is what i gather about #infantpottying: -it's more than a training protocol -it empowers baby with a voice to communicate waste needs -gives freedom from 24/7 diapers -much simpler cleanup -teaches baby early on about where poo and pee comes from and how they are able to control it -shows baby where waste is supposed to go instead of keeping baby in diapers until 3 then doing a complete change at once -saves diapers (i save 3-4 a day on average) -can be done at the convenience of parents and is easy 2 do while out and about by hovering baby over an adult toilet. I've heard of babies #pottytraining by 10 months! I may begin to encourage baby more about toilet but for now, even a poop on Saturday morning is still exciting for me. Just a simple toilet paper wipe of the butt and baby is ready to go! #eliminationcommunication #makeclothdiapersmainstream #savetheplanet
