"Shlap shlap shlap" went the noise echoing around the room. With no corners to dampen the sound, it was reverberating louder and louder.
"Yes, yes yes!" yelled Bush, crossing the line first.
"Damn it" muttered Biden, a sense of urgency filling his mind, overcoming even the strong image of Jill. He glanced over to his left, checking out the competition. Trump was not doing well: his cheeks were red and he was panting with exhaustion. His little hands could barely keep a firm grip, he had to keep readjusting.
On his right, Obama was the epitome of calm confidence. His powerful strokes were making a deep, rhythmic noise; it was no surprise when a small "Michelle..." escaped his lips, and he too took a podium spot.
Biden put it into sports mode and stared straight ahead, directly into Trump's piercing blue eyes. "It's Joever, Donald", panted Biden, "I had some chocolate chocolate chip earlier, I feel like I'm 60 again!"
"Fake news!" retorted Trump, "I have the best energy, the biggest energy, the most optemised body."
"That's not how you spell 'optimised' dumbass", laughed Biden, noticing the opportunity that had presented itself. He drowned out Trump's tirade of bullshit, letting him distract himself.
"...I spoke to JD Vance and he said- he said I have the best body". Trump instinctively raised his hands to illustrate just how good his body was, realising too late his critical blunder: he'd let go. Biden smirked as he claimed 3rd place, leaving Donald in his afterglow.
"Noooooo!" Cried Trump, desperately checking his opponents' states, looking for someone who was still behind him. Not Biden, not Obama, not Bush, but...
"So, it's last to finish wins, right?" asked Bill.
"Err, yeah..." Responded Trump, using the last of his energy to get himself done.
"Okay, that's it!" Declared Obama, "all but one of us have finished. You know what that means!"
"Aww shucks," said Clinton, realising he'd been had. He zipped up and reached out for the extra frosted chocolate chip cookie. "Here I go" he grinned, opening wide and getting ready to take a bite.
