*FIGHT/ON!!

            Turning at the sound of his name being called, a slight frown of confusion crossing his lips, Connor was taken by surprise when the fellow android lunged at him. Markus’s full weight colliding with him knocked the RK800 clean off of his feet. One moment he was upright, and the next he was on the ground, his head striking the hard concrete, the impact affecting his audio-processor for a moment. It was disorienting —— the world sounded faint and glossed over, as if he were underwater, and there was a slight ringing tone echoing in his ears. But, Connor could still hear the gunshots resonating in the quiet street. 

CHAOS erupted, humans and androids alike feeling the scene. The RK800′s LED was spinning rapidly between red and yellow as he attempted to contact the DPD and alert them to the situation at hand. Hearing those glitched words, Connor immediately transferred his attention to Markus —— the fellow android had fallen a little to the side of him.

❝ Markus! ❞ The panic was clear in his voice as the detective scrambled to the RK200′s side. ❝ No! No, no, I’m not leaving you! ❞ Connor insisted.

(♕)—— assassination attempts weren’t rare for markus--how many times had he almost been killed before? but none of them had ever been successful, not until now. strangely, there was no countdown to tell him what was happening, how long he had left. Just a few blinking warnings about thirium levels and the severed connection to his lower limbs. “get out of here. go. it’s not safe...!”

(♕)——his vision swam, a sea of colors and stereoscopic images, and it looked that, for a moment, he was gone. But light returned to his mismatched eyes and markus swallowed. “you have to get out of here. they’ll kill you too.” another burst of gunfire split the stillness of the evening air, and markus clutched connor’s arms. “leave me here! go! find the others!” he hoped connor’s stubbornness would subside long enough for the rk800 to listen to reason, but he wouldn’t count on it. there was no use in saving a dying man now.
