jenny is SUCH a mum, but. in like. the healthy way where she's so so beyond happy to see her kids grow into themselves, as whole independent people with full lives and wide-open futures before them -- johnny on the other hand is more than a little apprehensive about adulthood (young adulthood, at that) coming at him fast

what you can't see is that the smiths live right across from the grunt family, and even though general buzzkill died of a hate induced aneurysm (good), you know tank is over there curtain-twitching, trying, and failing, to not let the nuclear alien family bother him any time he sees them out in their yard

big feelings for johnny, with olive's impending death, the arrival of his new sibling, and his upcoming birthday. he's long been accused of being too laid back but something about mortality being so in his face is doing a number on him.

johnny should have known the pancake breakfast on a school morning was an omen, not necessarily a bad omen, but not the coolest omen, either. guess this means he won't have to feel so bad about letting his 'rents know he's splitting on the family home with ophelia and ripp the second his birthday candles blow out

all the alien babies in strangetown super had me wanting to jump into a casual little personal save, which is, in a move that is very circa 2004 of me, another alphabet legacy — truly found my groove twenty years ago and never learned to play another way. not planning on posting her on the regular, but this is alfie moon my sweet space cadet :-)

ophelia figured she'd try her hand at pottery as a way to keep her mind from turning over constant thoughts of death, disease, and destruction -- things hard to avoid living with olive
