Neat little health update:

After my Tuesday blood test my doctor wanted to speak with me ASAP. Turns out I have Hypothyroidism — which explains a lot. Anyways I have medication now and I get to start it first thing in the morning. Wish me luck; I could use a win.

Every time Bug wakes up from a nap, or rejoins me after a few hours apart, she must complete her Reunion Ritual. She will walk around me, purr continuously, bunt me (and everything else in the area), and do tail jitters. Often this is followed by a ‘play stage,’ where she chirrups and attempts to pounce on me. If we are in bed, she will reach for me with her gentle paws and scrunch her brow muscles to give her own version of the slow-blink. The whole affair usually takes 15-20 minutes.

It would almost be annoying if her body language was anything other than a constant stream of “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Recently spent a pretty penny on an automatic-pressure-activated bed for Bug (she was always cold.) I was worried about the expense but after several days of watching her love affair with this bed I am no longer worried.
