Hello and Welcome

I am Titi (title given to me)! I am the G-dparent of a little girl whom will be referred to as Buggy

There are. . . issues in this family. Issues that people in positions of power tend to ignore. Issues I can only watch, and then try to pick up the slack

I have no real position of guardianship over Buggy, but I do everything I can for that little girl. I consider her my own, and so do most of the people in my life, including the bio-dad (my brother).

Not everything on this blog will be centered around vents; some of it will be wholesome! Overall, this is the adventures of me and a darling little girl I can no longer imagine my life without <3

Please keep in mind that, while I have no legal rights, I will still use tags such as #parenting or #parenthood as I am still a primary figure in Buggy's emotional and physical life

If you happen to know me and Buggy, our real names, our location, Buggy's actual age, what she looks like, etc., DO NOT take the liberty to show or tell other people that information!! also I don't think parents "these days" are uniquely terrible, I just think neglect is showing up in new ways as technology progresses. today's ipad kid would've been wandering around in a ditch alone all day and night before. parents not wanting to have to deal with children is not a new phenomenon.

Babysitting a toddler is a lot like being the narration in a point-and-click adventure game. Watching him knock on the doors of empty rooms and saying "hmm. I don't think anyone's in there". Watching him attempt to use [spoon] on [cat] and saying "I don't think those things go together". Watching him throw a cup of water onto the floor and just commenting "the floor is wet now" when he looks up at me to see if I approve.

My child will not be allowed to use chat gpt. He will be smarter and stronger than the other children and he will kill them easily.

kids deserve so much more respect and it turns out that saying that is a great way to locate the horrible people in any community <3

you'll say something as simple as "no child deserves to be hit" and people will crawl out of the woodwork to explain why they should be allowed to beat a 6 year old for spilling some water

you'll say "i think it's weird that adults literally have control over when children are allowed to use the bathroom" and up pops a teacher to say that when they're not shouting at the kids they teach, they're trying to stop them from hiding in the bathrooms

you'll say "i think children shouldn't be forced to eat food they hate" and here comes someone who feeds their kids plain rice and boiled chicken (while eating a nicely seasoned stirfry) claiming that it's okay actually and kids shouldn't be allowed to taste things

you'll say "i think kids should have bodily autonomy" and in comes someone who pierced their babies ears before it was even 24 hours old, frothing at the mouth because their kid wanted a haircut and thats somehow an insult

children are an oppressed class and everyone should be looking back at their own childhoods and making sure they don't ever make a child feel the same way they felt.

Sometimes Buggy sleeps with me instead of her bio-mom. We commonly fall asleep cuddling. Luckily, she's a bit of a heavy sleeper

Chronic illness sucks enough as it is, but one thing that makes it a little worse is having an active, outdoorsy child. She LOVES outside, and I'm happy she likes to play outside! Which is why I feel a little upset with myself when the sun flares up my migraines, or my migraine is already so bad that even in a dark room it hurts. I feel bad having to distract her with TV or other activities inside cause I'm having back spasms so I can't even push her on the swingset out back. I try to make inside fun enough for her, but I know she would rather be outside

Being able to legally take care of a child is amazing, and I'm happy for y'all who have gotten that ability! But also:

Shout out to those who don't have the legal standing to be a child's guardian but act like one anyways

Shout out to those who sadly have to push bio-parent(s) to take care of their kids or just do it themselves

Shout out to those who take care of a child to the point the kid all but forgets their bio-parent(s) when you walk into a room

Shout out to those who the bio-parent(s) take for granted to babysit their kid, but you accept anyways cause that baby deserves to be played with and nurtured more emotionally

Shout out to those who have to stand by and watch lazy parenting cause the bio-parent(s) aren't 'abusive' and therefore you have no legal standing in a court room

Shout out to those who try to give a kid a happy life even the kid isn't theirs
