all of the islands are man-made and they have water pumps underneath them that's why you can have waterfalls that start from nowhere and lead to nowhere. it's also why nook lets you do whatever tf you want without worrying about the wildlife bc there is no natural ecosystem on these fake islands

animal crossing really lets me indulge in my four favourite things: seasonal events, dress up games, a sense of stability that comes from having things to look forward to, and looking at weird fish
