supergirl was quite good for a superhero movie and accomplished exactly what it set out to do which was nail the vibe and tone of the supergirl narrative and I will stand on that idc what any of these jokers are saying

everything is about grief except grief which is about love

not sure if this is a writer thing but generally i can let a lot of crit about something slide if I feel like I can tell what the vision is and that it was executed in the way it needed to be to tell the story that was trying to be told, if that makes sense?

like specifically this is about the supergirl movie and how i just cant take most complaints seriously bc above all else it did absolutely nail the tone of supergirl and the kind of story her character represents. but also I do mean this for things in general, if there’s well made aspects of something and it meets this criteria i almost dont see the point of being super nitpicky 🤷‍♀️ theres def value in being able to critique things one likes dont me wrong but I feel like often it’s a case of going after the wrong things while also missing the point, esp w women focused media
