However, he didn't want to jump to conclusions either. For all he knew, he could be the one overthinking between them, all because he was the first one to catch her attention this time.

Folding his arms behind his head, he gave a nod. "Is that so? Well, that's good to hear," he said. "Maybe it's just me, then."

He didn't know if it was the right time to bring up hearsay about the so-called everlight. He didn't want to exactly steer the conversation in another direction when there was still a bit of uncertainty in his own mind.

Still, she let Law talk. More of a ramble, really. Soft brown eyes grew concerned when the young man carried on, and Norma's smile twisted into a pout to match.

"Law, are you okay?" It still felt odd, using his name. But Norma hadn't spent enough time with him to give him a proper nickname yet, so it was what it was. "Something you don't want to keep to yourself? You know I don't judge."
