Princess was just minding her own business, walking to the food truck that she hoped was still on campus when she saw a familiar face. “Are you fucking kidding me? Bruno Davis?” She asked in an excited tone. “Wait, I’m not seeing things right? You’re actually here?”

Not sure if skating on campus was frowned upon here for not yet, Bruno had taking on walking to and from the cafeteria during lunch for now. He was silently doing just that, being done with his lunch, walking and checking his phone when he heard his name, and a very familiar voice. “Princess?” he called at first, looking around and finally spotting her. “Shit, yeah. It’s definitely me. I’m here for the summer course... And the rest of them. I didn’t know you went here as well. How’s it going?” 

Yeah that’s supposed to be the case, but I think there are some things that doesn’t apply to. Eh is right.

Yeah. I mean, no theory is ever 100%. There’s always that tiny 0,1% of exception waiting to happen. 

I know I’m a bit late to the game, but do you need any help with the heavy stuff? I’m use to lugging weight around. And hey, Bruno. Welcome to Devereux, I’m Avery. Enjoying it so far?

No, no. I’m cool now. Maybe when this new semester rolls in and we get new roommates? Or new room? But I’m fine for now. Thanks. Nice to meet you, Avery. Yeah, it’s alright so far. Pretty cool campus. 

Hey Bruno. I’m sure you didn’t bug anyone too much. And even if you made some noise, people can get over it. Because we’ve all been there trying to move in. How’s it going? Have you seen much of the island or campus yet?

Hey. Yeah, I think it was all cool. No one complained so far. It just seemed pretty loud when everything was falling down the stairs. I’m alright. I’ve checked the beach on campus, but that’s it. And I haven’t seen any of the island at all. Do you like it? The island?

I’ve heard that too but I was never that good at it myself. It’s nice to meet you though Bruno! You probably didn’t cause any trouble, there was a girl a few weeks ago with a piano so I think whatever heavy thing you had wasn’t as bad. Though I’m curious what it is. What classes are you looking to take next semester? 

Hey, it’s nice to meet you too. A whole piano though? Guess I was pretty safe then. I dropped a surfboard. And then my skate fell. And so did my backpack. My laptop lived though. Uhn, to be honest... I haven’t though of that yet. Just the standard one. And probably some other stuff that sounds interesting. Have you taken any yet? Do you have a favorite? 

I’m still learning how to surf. Well I did it a bit when I was in Hawaii, but you can only do so much when you’re only doing it 3-4 times a year. Nope, seems like it’s geared to those who already took it, which makes sense. But I wasn’t really thinking about it when I signed up.

It’s cool, right? And yeah, it’s easier when you practice longer. But the beginning is also cool too. You don’t learn much stuff after a while. Ohhhh, then I guess my sub catch-up class will be the same. Well... eh, I guess. 

What’d you move in with that’s so heavy? The entire gym equipment?

Hey Miss! Uhn, you know. The surfboard. And then my backpack fell too. And so did my skate. So it was a whole lot of noise. 

HOW can you silencio your bruno if you ARE the Bruno? Must be totally tough. 

Uhhhhhn, I guess my bruno just gets to be very loud. I mean, it is. Definitely. Very loud.

I don’t usually enjoy school, you know as a general rule. But they’re interesting enough. Didn’t they make us choose two? I’m in the communication one too, and the switch catch up class, though I’m in way over my head on that one.

It’s not my favorite thing either. There’s always something else I’d rather be doing. Like, uhn... surfing. They did, yeah. I didn’t read the instructions well enough, but when I checked again the minimum amount was two. Cool, I guess we’ll see each other around then. The switch catch up? Not as easy as it sounds? 

There are lots! But everyone here is really cool, it’s a great school. That’s pretty close! Did you go to the beach a lot? Richmond is about an hour or so I think from all the beaches in VA, so not too far. I mostly spent time around town or at school though.

Oh, nice. That’s cool, cool. Yeah, a lot. From the moment I got a car I’d go pretty much everyday after school - to hang out or to surf. So you got to go to the beach regularly too? Or not so much? Got it. Those can be cool too.

Submissive Catch-Up class

We stayed in Mexico City, but we had small excursions we could do that were outside of the city. Yeah, still getting the lay of the land.

I heard the food is awesome there. My high school Spanish teacher was Mexican and she would talk about the tacos from Mexico city a lot. And the salsas and stuff. Cool, cool. Good luck then. To both of us.
