closed starter for @bruiisd / harry hook !!
“Fucking douchebag.” Liv growled under her breath as she finished running up the last flight of stairs between Harry’s room and her own. As soon as she’d noticed the photos missing from her room, she’d ran up the stairs as fast as she possibly could. He was the only person who knew those photos even existed. And of course, it was her fault. Because she’d been the idiot who left him alone in her room. She couldn’t trust him. God, she’d been so stupid to want to trust him. To want to be closer to him. Of course, just when things started to look good, like maybe he was worth her trust, he’d go behind her back and stab her with his metaphorical hook.
She wouldn’t admit it, but hot tears burned her eyes as she swiftly stalked her way down the hallway towards his room. Her breath quickened as she finally stopped in front of room 743. Without waiting, she knocked once on the door, hard, before flinging it open and barging inside.
“Where the fuck are they?” She didn’t wait for an answer, stepping over the piles of clothes on the floor as she made her way to the dresser. Opening the drawers haphazardly, she began sifting through clothes as she searched for the only belonging that actually mattered to her. “Don’t ask what I’m looking for. You know exactly what I’m talking about.” She practically spat out, heart frantically smashing against her rib cage as she whirled around to glare at the pirate laying on his bed. The moment her eyes landed on him, with those photos in his hands, her gaze grew cold, as did her voice. ”Give those to me now so I can walk out of this room and never have to deal with you again.”
A single tear slipped from her cheek and Liv hastily wiped at it, refusing to acknowledge the fact that she was crying–that he had made her cry. Not because of the photos, but because she’d given him her trust and he’d chosen to break it. It was quite ironic, really–the one time she actually gave into her feelings for someone was the exact moment he disregards her boundaries and breaks her trust.
perhaps harry’s curiosity had gotten the better of him. although he wouldn’t admit to it out loud, he could admit to himself that it might not have been the best idea to steal from someone he actually really liked, and who he wanted to like him in return. at the same time, however, in his mind, petty theft was never all that serious; it was something people might get angry over for a day, but that they would either forget about or get over in a relatively short amount of time. that’s why he was honestly ill prepared for the white-hot anger that liv came storming into his room with.
swiping the photos was easy, an action done without much thought behind it at all, especially considering she had allowed him in her room completely unattended. and as he lay on his bed absentmindedly looking through them, it made him jump slightly to see his door suddenly fly open. “oh, shit.” he knew he was in trouble, but he wasn’t even able to get another word out in his defense before she began frantically searching around the room.
when her eyes landed on him, however, the gravity of the situation truly set in. the genuine anger in her voice and on her features was chilling, making all the playful banter and teasing between the two of them feel like a distant memory. “hold on, hold on,” he stalled, jumping up from his place on the bed to stand with the photos held in a hand outstretched away from her -- the logic being that as long as he still had them, she wouldn’t leave, because in that moment he realized the threat of never seeing her again hurt more than he knew. “not ‘till you tell me why these are so important, and what’s got you so worked up.”
