Without doing very much we've had a success

Yay Brown Flag Awards! It looks like the council have decided to funnel some of it's ill gotten gains into what it calls...

improved maintenance of parks, overturning the previous “wilderness parks” approach

So it turns out that Harrow Council actually had a 'wilderness parks' policy, which is nice for them. If this was an actual policy then when they respond to complaints via twitter or via email they should have been transparent about this terrible policy. It clearly only benefits the council coffers and not the local residents.

It's time to vote for the nation's crappiest park

The Brown Flag Award® recognises and rewards the worst green spaces in the country. In 2013, a record number of parks have spun in to terminal decline while those special few council favourites have received the prestigious Green Flag or Green Flag Community Award. It's time for you to show some love to some of the UK's crappiest parks.

Take a look at some photos and films of the most awful parks that local councils have left to rack and ruin. Then all you have to do is submit your own for consideration. Once they have been posted to the site, the most shared parks will go on to earn this coveted prize!
