"I'm sorry." He frowned a bit, feeling lucky for what he had. "But I think sometimes no parents can be better than horrible ones, right?" He shrugged. "Um—yeah, I see them outside of school sometimes, but it's not the same. We used to run away at night and meet in the park outside the primary school." He smiled, reminiscing on the memories.

"It's alright," he just shrugged, slinging his bag over his shoulder. "I guess but living in the boys home is... Pretty shitty sometimes. Personal space and possessions aren't always respected." Aaron nodded as he listened to Nate speak. He felt bad for him about not being able to see his family more. "That sounds nice though."

"Oh.. M-My parents died when I was 5, my brothers and I were there, but we all got adopted. Different families." He shrugged, looking down and biting his lip. He was a pretty chill guy most of the time, but the subject of being away from his brothers was a sensitive one.

"I never knew mine... I was just dropped at an orphanage. And then after a while they tried to get me into foster care but it didn't work out so... The boys home," Aaron explained, running a hand through his awkwardly curly hair. He shifted from foot to foot, not entirely sure what to say. "You guys are still close to each other, right?"

Nate shrugged. "It's fine." He smiled a bit. His foster parents didn't really care what he did—he was going to adopt his two brothers and moving away soon, anyhow. "Where do you live? I see you walking sometimes."

"Y'know the boys home off of 8th street? I uhm-- I live there..." Aaron shifted awkwardly from foot to foot. He was one of the unlucky few who was never adopted or put into the foster care system.

"Nah, my bike got totaled—some idiot in a car wasn’t paying attention to my motorcycle literally right in front of him. Idiot." He shook his head. He had a few broken ribs—and some road rash on his cheek. "So yeah, I usually ride my bike to school, but I can’t now."

"Oh, m'sorry about that," Aaron said softly, noticing the bruising's and scars. "Looks like it hurt a crap ton..." He had never really done anything too dangerous. He didn't really have the money too, neither did the boys home he was in.
