Amelia’s jaw dropped as she saw the necklace before her eyes watered up. “You… You both picked this out for me?” she whispered, carefully taking the present, looking back up to Dylan surprised. She’d be lying if she said that she wasn’t hoping for a present from her fiancé, and she had already gotten something for little Mira too, but this present was from both of them, and it just made it all the sweeter.

She smiled brightly at Dylan, carefully holding onto the necklace before she suddenly hugged him tightly. “It’s perfect, I love it, thank you,” Amelia whispered. She pulled back slightly to cup his chin in her hand and kissed him passionately.

Dylan smiled at Amelia and when she hugged him, he hugged her back, after a moment he looked into her beautiful eyes and felt her hand on his face. He closed his eyes as he felt her lips on his. He, of course, kissed her back pulling her in as he moved his hand down the length of her arm and gently took the necklace from her hands, moving his lips to her neck, “Allow me.”

Kala looked up at him and snorted slightly. “Really? Maybe I’m just a little upset you went out with her and not me.” She finally said. “She is not good for you. I know her a bit ire then you and believe she’ll cheat on you in no time. She is a use and lose them type of girl.” She was telling him about her friend.

Amelia tried to hide her bloodied hand from Dylan’s line of sight, pulling the sleeve of her oversize black shirt over it.

“I’m fine,” she lied, not meeting his gaze, turning away from him.

Honestly, she hadn’t meant to cut herself. She was just…so angry, so bitter with everything, that when she smashed the gin bottle, it cut up her hand rather badly. Amelia just…hadn’t mended it yet, finding the sharp pain almost a comfort in this moment.

After…After all this damn time… Amelia found Joshua. After twelve fucking years, she finally found her younger brother, only to lose him again. This time to a criminal seeking revenge from Amelia locking up his sister.

God…fucking…damnit…

Amelia leaned into his touch, so gentle and warm. It helped to tether her to the present, comfort her. Her eyes slowly opened at his question. Technically, she felt neither hungry or thirsty, but she knew with the amount she’d been crying, and with the alcohol wearing off, she knew she needed fluids.

“…Ginger ale?” she timidly suggested, looking to him with a slight frown.

Dylan sighed and nodded, “Well, since you are here sitting on the bathroom counter, maybe taking a bath will make you feel somewhat less dead,” Dylan suggested. “I can go get those flannel PJ’s you love so much. You can drink your Ginger Ale, relax and I can straighten up and cook you something.”

“A-Agent Moore? What are you…” Amelia began when Dylan took her by the hands. Her cheeks flushed pink as she stumbled onto the dance floor with him. “R-Really, I’m not sure if you…” she stammered shyly. “…want…to do this.” She almost collided into him when he stopped on the dance floor, her green eyes still wide with surprise.

Granted, Amelia loved dancing–was great at it–but she…never…really…had many partners. It made her nervous.

Dylan laughed, “Whiskey, are you trying to get drunk tonight? Or are you just trying to get me drunk?” Dylan offered as a choice. Dylan moved a pile of files across the bullpen onto the file cabinet to get filed overnight.“Well, I am leaving here right now so I will text you when I get home. Smartass.” Dylan said walking back over to his desk and grabbing his briefcase.

Dylan leaned against the wall between the elevators, “Well, I am about to get on the elevator and the signal gets lost in there. I will text you once I am home, see you soon.” Dylan says pressing the button of the elevator, and hitting end on the call.

The doors of the elevator open immediately and Dylan steps on, he goes down to the parking garage and orders pizza. Dylan throws his phone in the passenger seat and starts his car.

Dylan walks through his door, beer on top of the pizza box and his scotch in reusable bag around his wrist. Dylan places the pizza and beer on the counter. Grabbing the beer and placing it in the very empty fridge. Dylan puts the bag on the counter and pulls his phone out of his pocket. Dylan goes to Sariya’s contact information and starts a new message to Sariya,

“I’m home, jumping in the shower. Give me twenty.

Dylan”

Sariya couldn’t help but grin at his questions, taking the staircase down to the parking garage. “Yeah, yeah - well we’ll just see who gets drunk first and then we’ll play the blame game.” She laughed softly. “Be safe~” It was her routine way to end the phone call with him. More specifically those who held any sort of meaning in her life. With the call ended, she tucked her phone away and started her car. 

Once she was home, it didn’t take her long to shower and change. Staring at herself in the mirror, she glanced down at her phone when it lit up - it was Dylan’s text. 

[ text The Boss ] It’s about time :P See you in twenty - Sariya

Deciding to go with some light make-up, she nodded when she felt that everything was perfect and made her way out the door - locking it behind her. She made it to his place in plenty of time, liquor tucked safely in a paper bag, Sariya took her time before knocking at his door. “It’s me~” She called out, her tone light and playful.

“Where is the fun in that…” She breathed, her bright eyes searching his as she listened to him. “Everyone has baggage, Dylan… you don’t have to carry it alone.” Sariya whispered against his lips. Her heart pounded behind her ribcage. Was he going to push her away…? She didn’t want that. She wanted more. No. Needed him. “Dylan… please…” Her voice was weak, but when he finally kissed her again… held her closer, the woman practically melted in his arms. “After hours… Not a soul would know.” Sariya smiled, gently gripping the curls in her fingers. “Here I was afraid you were going to tell me no…” She teased, fingertips gently grazing down his cheek.

Awkward Pick-Up Line Meme

“I usually don’t have a good time in the bedroom, besides sleeping really well” Sadie replied.  She wasn’t sure how much information she should volunteer right now.  She got enough attention from men it wasn’t a new experience, but she hadn’t expected Dylan to be this forward. 

“I like shopping for clothes.”  No man ever wanted anything to do with that. 

“I don’t mind shopping for clothes, my daughter enjoys clothes shopping,” Dylan said taking a deep breath and then taking a sip of his drink. Happy for the segway that presented itself.

“I can actually do a little bit of work on my car” Sadie said.  “And changing the tires is one thing I can do.  I don’t think I can do the thing where you put chains on them and I’ve never owned snow tires.  Thanks for the offer.”

Sadie stopped for a minute to lean back and stretch.  

Sadie laughed a bit.
