The moment I saw the template has what the character things Vs what it really is I knew I absolutely had to.

Mud tends to see things more extremely to one end or the other so it has a pretty screwed view of things and itself be it for the better or worse IT kinda knows it's not all true but it doesn't care enough for it hence the less open minded it doesn't think enough to be more mindful of things that are other which. To be fair everything is very othered in the hallowoods (a forest with very very queer monsters) so this flaw comes out in less conventional ways
