i have decided its finally time to make my own tail. ill be getting my materials on saturday since im off work that day. ill give updates on the progress the further i descend into madness. tips, tricks, and pointers are greatly appreciated as ill be mostly flying blind for this

after following the steps in the video listed above, i entered freestyle territory. i want my tail to be fluffy so ill be combing it out. im using Lion Brand Yarn Wool Ease so its 80% acrylic 20% wool blend makes it remarkably fur adjacent. the shed is concerning but not unexpected. i can at least reuse it as stuffing for a sewing project in the future so thats a plus. ive found that the bundle method isnt the best since this yarn is much thicker than just regular Red Heart so ive taken to adding the strands individually or in groups of two, double knotting it very tightly to the spine braid, and unraveling the strand before combing to lessen shedding. making sure the strands are pulled to the end as close as possible really adds to the volume. the tip is nearly done. ill post a pic tomorrow
