We’re a fucking mess.

peWHOOOOOO THAT EPISODE THOUGH.  Alright time to voice my own thoughts as always haha

Here is Toffee’s finger being removed by the spell that Moon casted.  To be honest, this scene of Toffee is pretty jarring upon first look.  He seems downright horrified that his finger has been cut off by Moon’s wand, and that brings up a lot of questions for me personally.  Why is he so scared of his finger being blown off when he has regenerative abilities?  It’d be a whole other story, maybe, if he was blasted through the chest or anywhere else that would totally disable his body/threaten his life but no, it’s his middle finger?  And with the exception of that, he emerges practically unscathed as seen in the Fortune Cookie episode and the episodes that follow in season 1.  Only now are we uncertain of his whereabouts and his current state.

This inscription gave me the chills.  Moon the Undaunted is a pretty bold title, and I’m pretty sure it’s given to her because of her unwavering conviction to attack Toffee with this terrible spell.  

Undaunted: not intimidated or discouraged by difficulty, danger, or disappointment. 

I don’t think Moon has any regrets about casting this spell at all.  I find this pretty crazy, because this little excerpt makes the spell sound pretty darn dreadful.  “Darkest spell of Moon the Undaunted”?  Either Moon had no fears about destroying the race of monsters or she had some personal history with Toffee that drove her to curse him this way.

Now we know that Toffee holds a deep grudge against Moon for inflicting the darkest spell she has upon him and he’s out for revenge.  Things are still fuzzy with him, however, because some of his actions just don’t make any sense.  Why not just take the wand?  Hell, if he had snatched it from Star then and there, couldn’t he have just marched up to the kingdom and wreaked havoc with it?  What purpose would it serve, to mess with Star’s new wand by putting his finger in it and to (presumably) give Ludo a wand with the other half of the star?  Toffee continues to be full of mysteries.

As for the spell itself. . 

“The immortal monster will long be haunted”

There are no brakes on the feel train!! This episode is so good.
