"Definitely, and he's smart or at least seems like it so far," she lifted a shoulder as she looked at Bear as he cowered under the table. "Smart but afraid of thunder which is okay," she leaned down a hand to pet the beagle and to calm him down shushing as she did. Nodding, she tried to smile, her hormones still but over the place and things easily set her off. As she gathered the plates and everything, she niffled and nodded again at Brody. "I just wanted to show you how much I love you," she wanted to show her appreciation for him by making him a home cooked meal instead of just microwaving something quickly. @brodyblake

Brody smiled at her and rubbed her skin. "Aurora Blake, if I ever started questioning how much you love me, there is something wrong with me, okay?" He said and looked into her eyes. "Look at what we have. We have this house, we have rings on our finger, we have a baby. I know more than well how much you love me and I know that we both have a lot going on right now with that baby, our dog, and me with a new business so not having dinners like this is warranted. I don't care if we're eating from a bag, I know how much you love me. I will always know. And I hope you know how much I love you." @auroraxblake

He nodded. "I understand where you're coming from. I'm sure everyone thought you and Court would've sooner. And Anthony and his ex." He shrugged. "It all happened how it should've, though, and our kids are gonna be close." Brody smiled over at his brother. "You're not wrong there." He chuckled as well. "I'd be nothing without her, that's for sure." At least, that's what he felt like. Rory was the light of his life and every day, things just got brighter. "No, I know the feeling. Trust me." He didn't need any explanation from Cohen because he felt it too. "That we are. And I think so far we're doing a great job." @cohenblake

The park was a place he used to feel at home, safe, but here he was annoyed at people passing by. He sighed as he set his phone down, about to get up to walk home, when Brody came up to him. He sighed as he forced a smile. He knew Rory was still mad at him, but he wasn't in the mood to fix things right now. "Just great," he smiled as he got up from the bench, not getting closer to Broady. "Just relaxing after work," he said as he eyed his phone, which was broken again, but he really didnt care. @brodyblake

Bear was sniffing a bush nearby so Brody stood close and looked at his brother-in-law. "Yeah? How's work going?" He asked curiously, still trying to gauge where River was at. And if there was a good segue into talking with him. Looking at his watch, he looked back at River. "You done for the day now? It's about noon. Do the morning shift or something?" @riverxjackson

She smiled at him, wanting to hide her face again, her husband always making her blush. She didn't mind it one bit, and she had hoped that she never would. "Definitely," she looked over at their pup, "he seems to be picking up the wee wee pad training so far though." House training was the most important aspect in her mind, that way they wouldn't have to worry about accidents in the house and having to clean it up. She took a sip of wine as Brody joined her again, and she looked up at the sky as he did. "Yeah," she nodded and took a bite, before reaching down to calm the dog, "I don't want to get caught out here much longer." She started to say as another clap of thunder and gust of wind, which knocked over her plate, sending food flying. "I hope she sleeps through this," she started to say as the table became a mess and she looked at it and started to cry. "I just wanted to make you a nice dinner." @brodyblake

He nodded. "He had, which is great. We just gotta get him trained to let us know he needs out so we can get rid of the pads." Brody said as he looked down at the little dog. Brody knew they would get there soon, but he couldn't wait. He took a bite of their dinner. "We'll be okay. Don't worry." He said, just as the wind picked up and he moved to help her with the food and stuff. "It is a nice dinner." He stopped and took her hand before touching her cheek. "This is a great dinner. I think we just need to watch the forecast more." He smiled and pressed a kiss to her lips. @auroraxblake

She covered her face with her hands, knowing she was full on blushing at her husband. From behind her hands, "you definitely know how to do so," she giggled before removing them and taking a breath and regaining her composure. She couldn't behling to explain how lucky she and Nellie were with Brody. "I can fully see you doing so, teaching him each tool too," not really knowing if that was even possible but at least it would be funny to imagine. Watching as he got up to open the door, "I mean the feeling is mutual honestly. I love the little guy too." She watched him as he came outside to join them, "maybe. Though those clouds don't look too good." She pointed as a thunder clap filled the gap in her talking, Bear looking up and running back towards them. "At least he's starting to learn but I don't think he likes thunder." @brodyblake

He grinned as he watched her. "That I do." He said and liked seeing her laugh. He always loved her laugh. From the moment they met, it was something he had loved. "Should start his training while I finish up the porch swing." He smiled at his wife. Brody went to sit back down once Bear was out and then he looked at the sky. "We should hurry and eat." He said and watched the dog. "Probably not." The little dog coward under the table at their feet. "Hopefully Nellie will sleep through it, though." @auroraxblake

Brody nodded. "I grew up doing things like that. Always out doing something." He told him. "Well, you guys want to ever come out to my place, I can help teach out on the dock." He was definitely lucky he got a place that had a dock on the lake. He knew this summer it was going to get a lot of use. "That's not a bad thing. I should keep that in mind for Nellie." He laughed a little. "Well, you gotta have that, don't you?" @michaelxpalmer

Rory pinched herself every morning, that she got to wake up next to the man before her and they shared the most amazing life. They had a little girl and a cute puppy to raise side by side. She smiled and looked away, knowing her cheeks were bright red at his words, "you truly know how to make a girl blush. I'm so lucky, Nellie and I are so lucky to have you." She truly didn't know what she'd do without Brody. Laughing she nodded, "true. I'm pretty sure that hammer weighs more than he does. For now at least." Not that beagles weighed a lot fully grown but he was still very small. Agreeing with him, she nodded, and kept her hands on the plates and napkins so they wouldn't fly away. "Let's," she started to say before seeing Bear by the door barking, "I'm pretty sure they're already conspiring together and figuring out they both have FOMO and want to be involved with everything." @brodyblake

He grinned at her. "I like seeing you blush." He told her before nodding. "Not as lucky as I am to have you both." Brody said and laughed as they talked about their dog. "Yet is correct. Maybe I can train him to bring me tools." He joked, but it would be handy if he could. Looking at the dog through the door, he got up and went over to it. "They just love us too much that they want to be with us." He let the dog outside with them and Bear ran towards the yard. Thank god he had it fenced. "Or maybe he just had to go to the bathroom." @auroraxblake

Brody laughed and nodded. "I blame him, too." He said before shaking his head. "No, that's what I mean. He's gonna such a great dad, we're gonna be sweating it because he'll show us up." Which wasn't a bad thing by any means. He'd be more than happy for his brother. Looking over at Cohen, he gave him a look. "That's not true. You're a great dad, too. You think I'd be good if I didn't have Rory?" Brody shook his head. Laughing, he nodded. "Alright. I promise. Only you don't judge me if I do the same thing." @cohenblake

There wasn't a single thing that Rory didn't love about Brody before she married him. It now, being so hands on and so helpful since having a baby, it made her love him even more. "I know," and she had always been independent, she was learning how to lean on others, lean on her husband. "Oh no doubt, I can see them both now curled up with one another," not just on the swing but in general and it made her smile. "Seeing you with her is the most amazing thing in the world you know. She fits so perfectly on your chest," she was in awe of how easy he made it look, how comfortable their daughter was in her father's arms. "I could see him chewing on everything though," she chuckled, "stealing your hammer thinking it's a toy..." she had started to say as the wind whipped up and she started to grab things. Her own eyes going up the clouds, as a rumble of thunder was heard in the distance. "What is it with us and storms?" She asked, almost letting out a nervous chuckle just as another gust of wind blew by. @brodyblake

He smiled as they both thought about their daughter and dog curled up together. It was a cute imagine and he couldn't wait to see it for real in the future. Brody listened to his wife and shook his head a little. "I'm glad you think so, but seeing you with her is the most amazing thing to me. I love just watching you both." He told her with a smile. He probably had hundreds of photos of that already on his phone. Laughing, he shrugged. "I don't know. If Bear can carry my hammer, maybe he should use it as a chew toy." It'd be impressive given that the hammer weighed more than the puppy did at the moment. The thunder made him look up at the sky and he sighed as the wind started blowing. "Maybe we should enclose this a little bit." He said before he heard a bark and looked at the door. "And look who wants out here with us." @auroraxblake

Brody nodded and smiled at him. "I understand how that is. My parents keep doing the video calls so that they can see Nellie." He laughed. He knew whenever they were in town, they'd be all over both her and Clara. It was inevitable. "I think I have a lot of boat days on the lake planned." He hadn't thought about going back out on the ocean and wasn't about to start with his daughter in tow. The lake was just fine and he knew he could do some fishing out there. "Then maybe a road trip somewhere close. It should be fun." @michaelxpalmer

He was quiet as he waited for his brother to answer. Brody knew the question was a hard one and one he probably needed a moment to think on as well. Most days, he liked to believe he was a better man, but there were the days he got down about himself and wondered if anything had actually changed. When Anthony answered, he nodded and smiled a little. "Well, I think you're great man if it helps." @anthonyxblake

She softly chewed the inside of her cheek as she listened to her husband. The balance between them wad something she couldn't ever dream of, it truly being an equal partnership. "I know, and I appreciate it. And you've been busy out here," being in the zone especially with tools and working on a project sometimes needed focus without a baby or puppy getting in the way. Her eyes drifted to the seat before a soft chuckle came through, "okay I won't. I promise. I know once it's done it'll get a lot of use between the both of us." And she could see especially during the warmer months to sit out at night and use to to help rock Nellie to sleep before putting her to bed. "I'm sure she will absolutely be down for Dada cuddles later," her own heart swelling at the sight of their daughter cuddled up with Brody. "I know, and he's still a puppy so I didn't want him to be all over the place," not that he necessarily would have been. "It's okay," her voice soft, "and I'm not. You are the most amazing and hands on father and we're just getting started." She smiled up at him, then shivered as a gust of wind blew by and the storm clouds started to roll in. The gust of wind blew the napkins all over the place as well as a her plate, "shit," she said as she scrambled to clean things up. @brodyblake

He looked at her and slid his hand across the table so he could hold hers. "But not busy enough where I couldn't help." He rubbed her hand softly. "It will. I won't be surprised if in five years, we'll be coming out here to find Nellie and Bear curled up in it." He said with a smile. "I'm looking forward to that." Brody loved cuddling with their daughter. He never knew he could feel so at home with Nellie and Rory by his side, but it was truly his favorite place in the world. "He would've been fine." He assured her and squeezed her hands. "Yeah we..." He stopped as the wind blew through the patio and the napkins moved. He got up to grab the napkins as well and once they were settled, he put his drink on top of them. Looking up at the clouds, his eyes moved back to his wife. "Should be okay for a bit. We'll have enough time to finish dinner." @auroraxblake

He laughed as well. "Exactly. Hard to say no to a puppy." At least it was for him. He was happy to have Bear, though, and he knew the puppy made a great fit into his family. Brody nodded his head and laughed a little as well. "That is very true." He knew how that one was, that's for sure. "Me too. Hopefully it's not as crazy as last summer was, but definitely looking forward to it. You guys have any plans?" @michaelxpalmer

Brody shook his head. "You had your own life. You didn't need to be back home with me." He wasn't sure if it would've helped or not. The injury to his knee made him an angry man and it took years for that anger to go, but then it turned to depression. He was way better now, but it was a process. Listening to Anthony, he took a breath and nodded. "I'm sorry you had that pressure." If it wasn't there, would any of what happened to Anthony happen? Would Brody have gone to Alaska? It was hard to say. "Do you not think you turned out well? Despite it all?" @anthonyxblake
