totally original joke I donât know by who but itâs p funny rite guys
4th of July last year: Huh. I canât really see the fireworks from here, but theyâre lighting up the sky quite a bit. Almost looks like a thunderstorm.
4th of July this year: There is but one beast capable of setting the sky aflame in such a way. *Dragoon visor closes* Nidhogg comes.Â
Continuing my trend of âLook how pretty some of the things weâve seen a billion times are~â, have a corny picture.Â

Yo I understand this is the wrong game, but after weeks of farming my rolls finally pulled through and I got my mount. Itâs beautiful.Â
One thing I really love about FFXIV is that even the content Iâve done time and time again has the potential to hit me with a curveball and blow me away. This is really beautiful lighting.Â
Dear Yoshi P,
Gonna need you to stop making literally every class, DoW, DoM, DoH, DoL, it matters not, seem like so much fun. I feel like Iâm at an ice cream shop and the person behind the counter is asking me âWhich toppings would you like?â and my reply is just âYes.âÂ
Croikey! This is a good one! Câmere, âave a look! This is the âMinfiliaâ. Widely considered the most worthless leader of all time, and frequently questioned for her attire (Why do you have a butt window? Stop). This rare beast is almost /never/ seen outside of her headquarters. If you listen close, you might be able to hear her repeat something Yâshtola or Urianger just said and play it off as her own idea. But first, let me take a selfie. Hang on, I need her to stand still. Someone threaten her with combat, she always freezes in place when you do that.Â
Do not judge us.Â

Today I won something on a roll when everyone else in the party also rolled for the item. This is the first time in my life this has happened to me. My dice didnât let me down for once. Heâs adorable.Â
Guys... this isnât the Whorleater is it?Â
At least SOMEONE realizes it...
As I work my way through the story quests in our beloved FFXIV, Iâve come to realize something.
We are not warriors of light. Nor are we saviors of the realm. We are Eorzeaâs greatest delivery men and women. UPS be damned, use the one with the echo.Â
Thancred: Is my character good at singing, or any musical instruments?
Fabre exploded with laughter, doubling over with the sheer force of it. âAm- Am I good-â He couldnât finish the sentence before once again being swept away in a fit of giggles. Several minutes passed before he straightened himself out, wiping tears of joy from his eyes and clearing his throat.Â
âNo. Iâm afraid not, friend.â He said with a smile. âIâm about as musically inclined as the day old droppings of an armless goobbue.â He paused for a moment to appreciate his nonsensical analogy.Â
âI did once think to try and pick up the art of song, if you must know.â Wincing, he threw his hands up in defeat. âI attracted women from all around. Except the women were all squirrels.â He shook his head with a mock sigh. âI seem to be quite talented when it comes to squirrel mating calls. Unless, you know,â he cocked his head to the side, âIâm actually trying to make one. In this particular case I was attempting to sing to my mother a song of praise. Any attempts to actually mimic a squirrel often resulted in the appearance of goobbues or peistes.â He chuckled, offering an apple to his companion. âHere, youâve made me laugh. Take a snack for the road.â A kind smile and a nod to the door indicated he wished them to leave, but appreciated their having come. âThank you.âÂ

Louisoix, and Raubahn!
Louisoix: What is the greatest sacrifice my character has made?
Bricole Fabre raised an eyebrow at the question. Shrugging, he grinned âI didnât eat for an entire week so I could afford a new bit of tech, if that counts.â He took a long drink from his mug before sighing. âWhy do you people insist upon following me about, asking such invasive questions? Canât you see Iâm sitting alone in a bar?â He made a sweeping gesture as he spoke, as if his interrogator may not have realized where they were. âNo man sits alone in a bar when heâs full of cheer, does he? Were I seeking company,â He raised a finger, pausing for a moment. âWhich, mind you, Iâm not. But if I were, it certainly wouldnât be the sort that asked me to dig deep for all sorts of emotional garbage!â With a loud harrumph and a slap to the table, Fabre stood.
âIf youâre asking for a story of grand sacrifice for the greater good, ask somewhere else.â His expression was suddenly grim, his eyes cast toward the floor. âI can not claim any sacrifice.â A solemn shake of the head and a deep breath allowed him to think for a moment. âNo, the sacrifice was not mine. I crafted weapons for a good while. Weapons that were sold in order to fund my research.â He was clearly distraught, running his fingers through his hair near constantly. âThe customers paid up all the same, regardless of quality⌠To meet the high demand, I was forced to craft weapons that didnât live up to my standards. Or any standards, for that matter. They were trash.â
Fabre moved to the exit, no longer feeling social. âMakes you wonder, doesnât it?â He spoke softly, no audience in mind. Musings of a depressed man. âHow many of those weapons were used to kill innocents? Worse yet, how many were purchased by innocents for self defense, and malfunctioned, leading to their death?â His choked on his last words, hanging his head in shame. âI may as well have pulled the trigger myself, you know?â He dabbed at his eyes with his sleeve and breathed deeply in an attempt to calm himself. âAs for your question⌠Iâve never sacrificed a thing. I made those poor men, women, and children give their lives for my work. So Iâll keep crafting. If only to some day make something that saves more lives than Iâve taken. It still wonât be enough, I know. But my judgement will take place after Iâve passed. Until then, I can only strive to make their unwilling sacrifice worth the price.â Hunching his shoulders against the cold, he stepped out into the Ishgardian night and was gone.
Raubahn: What scars does my character have?
âI bet youâre hoping for a tale of battle, huh?â He joked with a smile. âSaving the fair maiden, slaying the demon that enthralled her? Maybe I got these scars from Ifrit himself?â With each suggestion he struck a different dramatic pose. From that of a stalwart knight, shield raised, to a fierce fighter crouching low, and finally a mock gesture of fear, trembling with arms held out before him.Â
âThe truth may leave you wanting, Iâm afraid.â He took the last bite of a sandwich he had been eating. âBuh tuh weh,â His words came out muffled by a mouth full of food. Signaling to wait a moment, he chewed a few more times then swallowed. Smiling, he forged on âBy the way, how do you keep getting in here? You just sort of⌠show up and ask me these wild questions. Iâd like to call you a friend, but I feel that requires both of us know something about the other. As it stands, you know much of me and I know nothing of you.â He paused for a moment, hoping for a response. A name? A small bit of history? Receiving nothing, he sighed and shrugged. âRight, strong silent type. I guess you give me something to think about, at the very least.â
Fabre cleared his throat, brushing his hands on his pants as he did so. âYour question. Most of these scarsâ He pointed to the scars on his face and arms. âAre caused by my own stupidity.â His grin indicated he was quite proud of his ability to be just dumb enough to get hurt, but not dumb enough to die. âThis one here,â He pointed to a nasty burn along his forearm. âIs from a smithing incident. So Iâm carrying this length of red hot steel from the forge to the anvil, right?â He stretched his arms out and began to walk across the room, mimicking his story. âBut I didnât have the tongs quite right on the thing. So it began to slip.â His face took on a shocked expression as he fumbled his arms about. âMe being the smart guy I am, figured I ought to catch it. However, I didnât want to burn my hand! You know, the hand with a protective mitt on it designed for occasions just like this one. Couldnât burn that. So what I did,â He leaned down, stretching one arm out much further than the other. âWas try to catch the steel with my forearm. Less damage done that way, yeah?â He shook his head, chuckling to himself. âAt this point, I really wish I could make some whimsical statement about âoh, to be youngâ or some such. But to be honest, Iâd probably still do the same thing were I placed in the same situation this afternoon. Iâm a brilliant man, understandâ He tapped the side of his head twice to accentuate his point. âJust not very smart.âÂ
âAnyway,â He spoke fondly, still cheered by his own tale. âAs you can see, Iâm quite busy.â He gestured to the remainder of his lunch that still sat on the table. âThe rest of the scars will have to wait for another day. Wouldnât want to get them all at once, would we?â He turned and opened the door, indicating it was time for his new âfriendâ to leave. âDo come back, though. Iâve come to enjoy our⌠Or, well, my ramblings.âÂ
