thunderstorms in her thoughts;
PIERCE
Samâs almost slip-up with her name went unnoticed, Brittany was too caught up in her thoughts about the day. She was happy to see him, but completely unsure whether she should talk about her feelings of upset. Maybe on a surface level. She tended to save the rest for Santana.
âIâm sick of sharing a bathroom with my sister, she takes forever in the morning. So I guess Iâm not doing well.â She rolled her eyes. âWhat about you?â She gave him a proper look for the first time this morning, and tried to shove the thunderstorm feelings down and make them smaller.
Sam was never as astute of a Brittany-reader as San was, so she figured it would go unnoticed. It always did. With San, though, nothing went unnoticed.
âhey, hey.â santana said, reaching down for brittanyâs hand. she knew that she had to pretend to be sam, and she had no idea if this is how he would approach brittany, or if he would even notice if something was wrong with her, but she definitely noticed. âwhatâs going on? is something else wrong?â santana knew that there was, she could always tell. âbecause i donât think youâd look so upset about a bathroom, or maybe you would, it depends how long she takes.â she smiled.
Brittany blinked, trying to hide her surprise that Sam saw through her. Huh. Maybe she had underestimated him. Sheâd figured he was like the rest of Glee club, taking her literally all of the time and missing the jokes she told that Santana always seemed to appreciate. Speaking of, she hadnât seen San all day. Maybe it was a bad sign that she wanted to go to San with her feelings, but she shrugged that thought away with some discomfort. âMaybe, but my mom said that talking about feelings will make the little elves that control us unhappy.â Another attempt at deflection, rooted vaguely in her sisterâs favorite movie, Inside Out. Why was it so much easier to play into what Sam and the other Glee clubbers thought of her than it was to dig deeper into her feelings?
