Hello, fellow Simmers, I met Brittany ( @brittpinkiesims ) last year and she inspired me to mod, and helped me a lot throughout the time!

However, Brittany is on hiatus and therefore cannot update her mods, therefore, I asked if I could update her mods for fellow Simmers, and she replied:

So…I did.

The following mods are fixed by me:

Harry Potter Traits

Her other mods are up to date, to my knowledge(I’m using them myself!) . Spread the word if you can, as Brittany won’t be back in the near future :( and I know a lot of Simmers want her mods to be up to date.

1.  I probably won’t return to modding or CC.  Life has been crazy this year; I started a new job, my husband and I moved into a new apartment, and I’m currently looking for a different job again (haha).  Long story short, I don’t have the time to spend as much as I used to on modding and CC, and I don’t even have the time to fix things when they break.  I don’t even play the Sims anymore, sadly!  

2. Please do NOT harass, bug, or nag Rex (Konansock) to update any of my mods.  He is doing it completely of his own freewill/desire and it is NOT his responsibility to update my broken mods.  He’s just a great guy doing us all a favour :D

3. I will probably leave my Tumblr up for posterity, but will likely shut down my website by the new year.  I don’t want people blindly downloading unsupported mods or CC.  So grab whatever you want now, but do so at your own risk. 

4. That being said, whenever Rex or whomever updates anything of mine, I’ll definitely reblog it here for anyone who still cares.

Hey guys!  I’ve received a few inquiries about whether or not my mods are compatible with today’s patch.  I don’t know yet, as it’s only 8 am here in Australia, and I was asleep when the patch was released and now I’m at work until much later today.

The newest release for MCCC/MC Woohoo is 3.5.1.  I am releasing it to be compatible with the 1.30 update from EA today for the Sims 4.  It fixes all the bugs I’m aware of due to the release today.

Change Log:

Fixed an issue with Change Outfit dialog in MC Dresser that would no longer open correctly.

Fixed an issue with a compulsive cleaning interactions for the shower that could cause other interactions to abort prematurely (working/school/taking a bath or a shower, etc.)

EA removed some filters and I changed my code to no longer look for them.

Fixed a problem with setting voice pitch in MC CAS that was always defaulting to 100 no matter what was entered.

If no vampire or alien expansions had been purchased, the MC Occult menu was not available in the settings menu so the “Monster Under the Bed” could not be disabled.  Thanks, AlexandraBate67, for pointing this out!

Compatibility:

This has been tested to be working with GTW, OR, Get Together, Dine Out, City Life, Vampires and the patch released May 25, 2017 – PC Version 1.30.103.1010 / Mac Version 1.30.103.1210.  This is the version I can verify that the mod works with.  Versions before this, most likely will not work so don’t be surprised if that’s the case!

And while I work on the upload of the spiked rose headband, here’s a little something that’s been sitting in my projects folder for a quite some time :D

Story time: I was attending this awfully bad online course about CLIL methodologies a while ago, and was asked to record a video simulation of a CLIL lesson, complete with special effects, music, sounds and all sorts of “cool” shit. Deadline: one week. …Ridiculous, I know. To get everything done as quickly as possible, I chose to do a little TS4 machinima to go with my lesson simulation. Aaaaand… got stuck as soon as I found out that having just ONE sim standing and talking in front of a sitting “class” was nearly IMPOSSIBLE ò___ò and that City Living podium, in a high school class, looked waaaaaaay out of place. So I figured… why not make an invisible podium? :O And that’s how this project was born! :D 

So, what does this do? The podium, as you can see, has been reduced to a simple (meshed) line on the floor, for easy placement (so yeah, technically speaking it is not 100% invisible, but shhh). It costs §20 and can be found under Activities and Skills/Other. It comes in three different swatches: white, yellow and wood. The wooden one blends pretty well with quite a bunch of floors (as you can see in the first pic). You can use it in your medieval gameplay, for storytelling and machinimas, or anything else you can think of :D NOTE: CITY LIVING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TO WORK. 

If you want, feel free to recolor the line to your liking (but keep retextures and recolors away from paysites and Adfly/Shorte/whatever, please). Keep in mind that flat colors and/or not too detailed textures are recommended if you plan to recolor this. Any intricated design will look VERY blurry and just bad, unless you zoom super close to the floor. But enough talking and on to the good stuff! :D
