Β Β good GOD that is not what he expected to see as he turned around. normally a call of his APPEARANCE was to simply mock , not to see someone who looks the exact EQUIVALENT of him. it is a veryΒ i d i o s y n c r a t i cΒ occurrence. this boy was almost like a handsome version of him ; teamed up in stylish clothing beyond his time and much wavier hair than mikeβs own. truthfully, it makes him almost INSECURE. he wonβt pick up on that until later, however ββ mere the only emotion being expressed is how LURED to the figure he is.
β b-bravery ?Β βΒ
and howΒ h u m i l i a t i n gΒ to stutter in front of someone so CLEARLY significant. but eyebrows raise as he notices the familiar scent of a cigarette ; and itβs a simply perplexing image ; like seeing the polar opposite of himself in his own body. is this a doppelganger, or something MUCH bigger ? ββ not much could surprise the boy anymore. but this certainly has.Β
β am i fucking HALLUCINATINGΒ ?! β
the perplexed expression on the othersβ face ( his face? do i look like that when iβm perplexed? but then again, i donβt recall having felt like this in a long time. so ultimately, it is absolutely irrelevant ) is amusing enough, and it draws a hoarse chuckle out of him. another pull from his cigarette as he pushes himself away from the wall, casual stroll towards the other, fingers clasping his chin to get a better look.Β
βabsolutely fascinatingβ, he mutters, turning the othersβ face from left to right, yet the cold grip of jealousy doesnβt quite disappear yet. of course the kid isnβt as handsome as he is, but the potential is there. eyes scan up and down, and then:Β βbravery, yes. to insult your face with clothes like.. this.β the word is spat out with such disappointment that he almost has to laugh at himself. funny, how his first reaction was to judge his counterpartsβ sense of style: but itβs a hard feature to ignore when the sweater he is wearing could be ugly enough to make a child cry, much more so his own, sensitive self. ( he doesnβt like to admit it, but his vanity goes beyond limits. even if the person in front of him isnβt exactly him, he feels the need to make sure a face so similar to his is being worn with pride. not with a sweater like that. )
even their voices sound similar, he notices with curiosity peaking, eyebrows knit together in tension. and then the otherβs cursing, and now ariochβs laughing, full on, loud, unapologetic.Β βlook at you. mouth like a sailor. how will you ever be a gentleman, talking like that? everything about you is so.. unpolished.β he goes on to turn in front of the other, almost a twirl, arms spread into a gesture of showmanship.Β βdonβt you have any respect for yourself? when you could look like this. you should appreciate that.β
