“while they would likely be a more popular subject, the salem witch trials would be a wise decision. as is known and expected, there’s a certain intrigue surrounding them – the superstition, the various tests, the society – but, if a topic chosen by the majority of your classmates, an event with vital details that will likely be left out. almost anyone who’s ever read a single word knows of figures such as judge hathorne, but people such as cotton mather are left out of nearly all accounts. you would have a leg up.”

“i have to pick a historic moment or something and write about it.”

“an event and not a time period, yes?”

“here’s the thing, i have an essay due tomorrow and i haven’t started it. how much do i have to pay you to do it for me?”

A wrong number. The woman made for a delightful conversationalist, though. We discussed the concept of time for a while. I don’t recall if she remembered who she was originally attempting to get through to.

What are ‘memories’? And how can we irrefutably prove that our favorite ‘memories’ happened in the first place?

“How much do you know about handling dramatic teenage girls?”

“I’m not much of an expert in that field, but I can attempt to help you if you elaborate.”

leigh sat there listening to the person as she thought. she was listening but only half way. the letter she had received earlier in the week had her all kinds of frazzled and it was now bleeding into her work and her personal life. she snapped out of it, ‘ sorry, could you repeat that please? ‘

“They’re fake, so I really don’t give a shit what they wear. Yes and her various other songs. We’ve established this. Most likely, yeah.”

“Fair point. In any case, however, it’s just a terrible design idea. Alright, then the few I’ve heard by her are quite enjoyable. If I recall the information correctly, none of them played instruments, right?”

“Maybe, I dunno. Like I said I don’t pay attention to them at all. You probably have. She’s an icon. I guess so. I don’t pay attention to that kind of stuff, you’re better off asking some of the adults. His band days were more their time.“

“Then again, if the suits are made of fabric that completely conforms to their skin – therefore, not armor – it’d do them no good in the long run. She’s also the one with the one more time thing, yeah? I’d suppose his band days were his prime ramen days.”

“I don’t care about superheroes, so. Yeah that’s her. I’m pretty sure they’re all different, if they were all about those things his music wouldn’t be very popular.”

“I do suppose it makes more sense that they wear full-body suits. If they were to bear their bare skin, it would be much easier to defeat them. I think I’ve heard a few of her songs. You did say his career is dying though, yes? – and wasn’t he in a band with other male singers?”
