It was easy to assume before that Armand read Daniel’s mind and heard him thinking about Alice. Now I think Armand could tell from context and the way Daniel was looking at him

Blender mention to see if Daniel reacts?

The utterly smitten look Armand gives him after Daniel nods to “he’ll awaken when the sun sleeps”. Safe to look at him like that because Louis is asleep

He’s wearing a rather purple toned shirt in that scene too- hoping to trigger memory? Or just doing it because he knows Daniel likes it?

Armand glancing at Louis when Daniel doesn’t reply about the “mention of the fire in our archives” comment when he’s having a flashback- because Armand isn’t able to hear what Daniel is thinking?

Glancing at Daniel after mentioning him and Louis going to the library- somewhere Armand once followed Daniel to/went with him to?

“It was loveeeee” callback- the irony of Armand not realizing the same thing is happening to him again

Easy to read Armand’s reaction to the “his were better” as annoyance but upon rewatch- again looking to see if there’s any recognition in Daniel?

Still wonder if Louis was going to turn Daniel with Armand’s help the way he’d wanted to with Madeline hence the “repulsed-repulses”

Aha how many times did Armand watch Daniel use drugs?

“I had complicated feelings” referring to the coven- but also for Daniel?

Such a good interview I so appreciate the kind of questions Autumn asks and the thought Assad puts into the answers.

Why is Fareed with the tour? He was hired by Armand presumably for Daniel’s treatment. Is he ALSO working for the Talamasca?

If Daniel wasn’t turned in Dubai where the hell was he turned?

Also ugh we knew about his splinter of coldness but it’s still hard to watch.

Until proven otherwise I think it’s half and half- I think half of Daniel’s reaction to everything this episode is just that splinter of coldness, being addicted to the truth no matter the cost (though I can’t stop thinking of that line that was put in his head “you’re a bright reporter with a point of view”) and I think half of it is desperation to deal with his trauma through other people’s (specifically other vampires)
