what do you mean the unaired/lost comic con episode from years ago supposedly featured matt and jay kidnapping finn wolfhard? what is their fixation with finn anyway? i'm confused. the comic con episode apparently featured justin roiland, so maybe they cut down the episode / scrapped it altogether. does this mean their recent on stage shenanigans might tie into the new season?

so i don't actually watch 'the graham norton show' these days, mostly cause i don't give a fuck about the people on it. but a part of me would love to see matt on there just to see how he meshes and mingles with a UK audience and also the general vibe of the 'hangout on the sofa' vibe. i don't think matt and jay have actually appeared on any televised late night chat shows? and their tv interviews in general are pretty limited. it's actually interesting how much of their promo is them going on various podcasts of varying popularity. some are very small, but that doesn't bother them, they're doing it for the love of the game and i love that about them.

i remember when tumblr was the main go-to for fandom stuff. we used to be a society, man. now it's all about that one other site run by that one loser. i don't even know how to gain followers on there (or here either tbh, but it seems a bit easier) i make gifs and graphics, follow me if you like that stuff, yo. i'll make fanart eventually. wahoo

matt johnson movie marathon happening in the UK. but it's london. that's too far. and too expensive. why does everything good happen in london? i even looked into organising something in the north west but it's so expensive.
i haven't seen it talked about (and i've been trawling the ntbts tag a lot). is this the site for the in-depth discussion? where do i go? this is my first time posting on here in 14 years, holy shit. they took the IMDB message boards from me years ago, man. anyways... i was thinking about 2 things (i'm thinking about more but i'll narrow it down to that for now)
how do people feel about the show basically switching up genre? the show is very much set in normal, every day reality. but with the introduction of the movie, the show's genre jumps into the sci-fi realm. do you think that continues into the series going forward? or do you think they won't actually revisit the time travel element, they'll just make references to it through jokes/flashbacks etc? i can't think of many shows right now off the top of my head where the genre switches up later down the line. i have a feeling it'll be something they flashback/callback to but they won't lean that much on the time travel stuff. but it is something they could possibly play with? second thing, how do people feel about them potentially becoming more noticed? i don't mean in terms of fandom spaces, i mean in the realm of the show and how it's filmed. they're already known by some in toronto, but with the movie i have a feeling they're going to get recognised a whole lot more going forward for potential season 4 and beyond (manifesting!). especially since the movie opened the doors to whole new audience. i love scenes of them interacting with the public, the stuff with Ned is an all timer. the show strikes such a good balance between what's real and 'scripted'. i'm a bit apprehensive about scenes with the public not feeling as organic. but on the flip side, even if someone they encountered did recognise them, they'd a) play along and b) they wouldn't have a clue what was happening beforehand, so it'd still feel like a 'real' encounter. the magic lies in the lack of script and keeping everyone's natural reactions. YOU'RE IN, DUDE
i could talk about the show for hours.
