i love being sober and talking to drunk people at parties cause i asked a guy “if you were a wizard what kind of spells would you cast” and i know he wasnt lying when he said “summon creatures”
Sorry, my what? My pronouns? Oh, yeah I'm between genders at the moment. No, it's cool, I quit my last gender a little while ago because it really wasn't working out. I don't know if I even have a dream gender anymore.
Oh yeah, it did come with benefits, but they weren't really worth it. The culture was really toxic. To be honest I think I'd prefer a part-time gender so I can just be self-described in my spare time.
I mean, in a perfect world we wouldn't need gender, you know? We could just voluntarily be perceived as much as we're able, as much as makes us feel fulfilled. Having a full-time gender shouldn't be a prerequisite for food, shelter, and healthcare.
Maybe I should grow up

12. What calms you down?
Being outside usually. Feeling air or water moving around me and being sure to disconnect while I do so. I spend a lot of my free time sitting by the wetlands and staring out across the water, listening to birdsong and watching the clouds go by. I always feel better afterwards.
17. How do you feel best loved?
Feeling heard and seen. I think on the one hand I hate being percieved, but on the other I like being known in a way that shows someone cares about me. I don't need much, but it is really nice when someone does or says something that shows they pay attention when I speak and remember my interests.
20. Tell us about a memory you hold close to your heart.
My friend hosted a karaoke party sort of recently. I never imagined I'd have so much fun. It's crazy how you get so suddenly overwhelmed by love for your friends when you spend real quality time with them. Something about us singing together after everyone else left, not a care in the world. Somebody Told Me by the Killers holds a different space in my heart now haha.
Franz hopper?
My favorite thing about the episode: This is the hardest one to answer... This is my favorite episode in the season. I gotta say I love how hard XANA flexes on Jeremie and showcases the power of the supercomputer. Of course they all think it is Franz at the time, but wow all of the features he introduces the group to in just one episode. Awesome.
Least favorite thing about the episode: The group is super mean to Jeremie :( I think they have every right to be upset that Yumi seemingly has brain damage, but they all knowingly signed up to risk their lives. Jeremie never intentionally misled them, even if he (and the entire group) may be way out of their depth the entire series without realizing it.
Favorite character: Jeremie! He's quite the standout this season. I think he spends a lot of episodes reckoning with the limitations of his knowledge of the supercomputer and Franz Hopper, and this is a culmination of that arc. Despite all of the harsh treatment, he never abandoned his friends. And outsmarted an evil artificial intelligence in the process. His Aelita decoy was ingenius.
Favorite Scene: Definitely a tie between the Odd boxing with a creeper scene (I mean. C'mon, it's perfect!) And the scene where Aelita absolutely speeds toward the tower barely acknowledging anyone else because "Jeremie's in trouble!" The genuine concern from Aelita and Ulrich in that scene was touching, and the fact that Jeremie came very close to losing his life really brought it home.
Favorite Quote: Jeremie's smug "Not this time!"
Overall: Yet another awesome episode. Jeremie's deductive reasoning. The entirely reasonable, if not harsh interpersonal conflict. Seeing Franz Hopper in the flesh (even if it was a specter, not the real one). Seeing the supercomputer at higher capacity. XANA showing his ugly side and strangling Jeremie for thwarting his plan. The Lyoko Warriors experiencing god-like abilities just to become completely powerless right after, without the ability to return home after devirtualizing... it is the perfect storm. This episode is a never-skip for me!

37 Common Interest
And, 36 Marabounta while we're at it
Gotta say I love the theme you're getting at here. I'll discuss that a bit, too. Starting with Common Interest:
My favorite thing about the episode: This is the second time we ever see XANA and the LW intentionally work together, and boy, is it tense! Both XANA and Aelita dying is a dramatic and intense plot, in which they have to save each other in order to preserve their own. The reminder that these are definitely just kids who lack resources and happened to stumble upon a supercalculator is stark in contrast to the limitless power of XANA as an evil AI who can just possess people and break the law however he pleases.
My least favorite thing about the episode: Not sure exactly. I think there are two things I would critique, but they're really nitpicky. The first is that I don't really see Jeremie being so defeated and hopeless. We see Jeremie break a lot of laws throughout the show- to the extent that the government shows up at his doorstep much later on. I don't see him bowing his head in defeat when faced with impossible odds. He never has! (I think it is possible that he needed some time to process things first and was interrupted by his kidnapping, but still lol) The second is the inconsistent behavior of XANA, but I have some theories for that.
Favorite character in this episode: Jeremie! While I definitely criticized his characterization during the early parts of the episode, he keeps his cool during some really messy spots. I think it is easy to think of him as cowardly, but his guy-in-the-chair position is one of the most dangerous of all. This kid was changing out a uranium battery (in full PPE), knowing fully well that a possessed murderer was going to wake up and come for him as soon as he was done. And he fought that guy! Go Jer!
Favorite scenes in this episode: The Lyoko deletion scene. We see this more often later in the series with Lyoko Minus One and onward, but it was kind of scary to have this moment of "there's nowhere to run and no one is coming to save you" for the boys. That and all of the parallel scenes between Aelita and Peter Duncan as they keep shutting down simultaneously.
Favorite line: Jeremie: "A Supercomputer is not the same as a Game Boy, Odd. You can't just pick up a bar of uranium at the corner store."
Overall thoughts: Another favorite of mine! Really good storytelling that does well to show the limits of both the Lyoko Warriors and XANA side-by-side. The fact that XANA is still confined to this specific supercomputer is reigning him in, and the kids have no clue what they're in for later in the series. Okay! And now, Marabounta:
My favorite thing about the episode: This is the FIRST time we ever see XANA and the LW intentionally work together, and this time the action centers on Lyoko. Super important to acknowledge that this episode came RIGHT before Common Interest.
My least favorite thing about the episode: I always got annoyed when Ulrich and Yumi would argue like this, especially when Ulrich would sulk. The constant jealousy really gets in the way of their friendship, mission, and personal development. Season 1 treated their relationship much better. I also think Yumi could be more sensitive to Ulrich's feelings. The two of them and Sissi and William are just a toxic quad that needs to have a good, open conversation.
Favorite character in this episode: Odd! Weirdly, Odd is the voice of reason in this episode, being the first to characterize the Marabounta as monstrous itself. He also does well to defend Aelita and ultimately destroy the threat, with XANA's help.
Favorite scenes in this episode: The scene right at the end, where the monsters bow to the Lyoko Warriors. It is really interesting to depict XANA in this sympathetic way.
Favorite line: Sissi: "No, I'm not really into fairytales or cheap magazine-style romance stories. I've had a crush on Ulrich since elementary school. I want to go out with him. That's all there is to it." I kinda hoped that this would humble William a bit about his infatuation with Yumi. Like yes, girl! He has only attended Kadic for six months! And he's out here talking about destiny? Weird! (I love William as an individual, but I just am a die-hard Ulumi fan, sorry!)
Overall thoughts: Yet another favorite! This was interesting to have right before Common Interest, especially with the bowing scene, and Jeremie specifically saying not to trust it. In the following episode, when both sides work together again, there is no bowing. Peter Duncan tries to kill Jeremie right then and there. I almost wonder if XANA already knew he would need their help soon and was appealing to their emotions first? Such an interesting pair of episodes!
***18 KILLER MUSIC SORRY
My favorite thing about the episode: Season one really stands out with its horror elements, and this is one of my favorite episodes because of it. This was a very clever and dangerous attack from XANA, and the fact that the Warriors managed to avoid death, due mostly to luck and also to their being on Lyoko, really drives that home.
My least favorite thing about the episode: I genuinely don't think I have a critique for this episode. It rules.
Favorite character in this episode: Yumi! Yumi is once again a stand-out warrior, realizing the nature of the XANA attack, avoiding that danger, and relaying the critical information. She also takes the time to reassure her friends that Odd will be okay, even though it is clear she is also very concerned. Her calmness under pressure saved the day, and ultimately helped Jeremie to recognize the danger he was in and input the RTTP coordinates in advance since he knew he was about to lose consciousness.
Favorite scenes in this episode: It has to be the return to the past scene. The wide-scale devastation being "erased" and showing just how close a call it was for humanity.
Favorite line: Ulrich: "It's the kind of song a machine might have written?" These cute little one-liners were so charming. And in rewatching this show in 2026, this show was so ahead of its time. AI music... wow.
Overall thoughts: One of my all time favorites for a reason! And this episode's plot really stands the test of time. Characterization is spot-on, characters are deeply reflective and think hard about their encounters, and the XANA attack is horrifying. This is something that you could see being highly effective even decades later, with the use of social media spreading sound bites so quickly... I've always been a fan of the real-world commentary from this show.
Code Lyoko episode ask: A Fine Mess
My favorite thing about the episode: I think it is really fun to have Odd and Yumi experience each other's daily life (and the social problems they each deal with). I also love that they swap on Lyoko and gain new appreciation for each other. Taking a walk in the other's shoes, literally.
My least favorite thing about the episode: Odd is really insensitive towards Yumi's social perception. He embarrasses her constantly and extremely publicly, and then refuses to take accountability for it.
Favorite character in this episode: Yumi! She takes everything in stride and even tries to help Odd assimilate a little better by giving him that little dinosaur fork. She shows several times what a smart fighter she is, and her adaptability helps her to deal with the situation a lot better than Odd.
Favorite scenes in this episode: The gravity switch in sector 5 and Yumi's laser arrow to give Odd the momentum he needed to reach the key. I loved her quick thinking, with her asking how many life points he had left. A cool stand-out scene from the series.
Favorite line:
Odd: For example, something's itching me in my back!
It's a… I think it's the strap to your…
[Aelita gasps]
Yumi: Don't you dare take it off! You hear?
Overall thoughts: A fun episode overall, but not one of my favorites. I love the humor and some of the scenes that showcase the skill of the Lyoko warriors, but sometimes the humorous stuff makes them out to be really bad friends toward one another. I think I do appreciate season 2's overall theme of interpersonal struggles that a bunch of ordinary teens would juggle when saving the world.
