imagine sherlock in one of his black moods, laying curled tight on the couch and he hears john coming into the room but feels so awful that he ignores him except then suddenly there’s a puppy being dropped onto his chest and he instinctively grabs hold of its wriggling body and looks down in shock and john’s grinning next to him all like “i thought you could use a friend for some cheering up” and the puppy is licking and nibbling at his fingers and sherlock cuddles it close and looks up at john with the sweetest smile on his face and john knows he did good (◡‿◡✿)

I literally hate Mary because we’re SUPPOSED TO

I love Amanda Abbington and think that Mary is a fascinating character, but if we were meant to think John and Mary should be together, why would they make her an assassin at all? It’s not canon and only functions to turn her into a villain.

I likened her character to that famous Ginger Rogers quote. She can do everything Captain America can do, but backwards and in high heels. She’s an English soldier through and through, although she always looks fabulous. She might stand there with a machine-gun shooting Nazis, but she’s obviously gone to the loo beforehand and applied a bit of lipstick. She doesn’t need to be rescued.
