Giving the man an absentminded nod, Cassi felt bad for not paying attention to exactly what he was saying. "Well, that's... good." With a gentle smile, she cocked her head to the side in confusion as to why he was asking what she was doing for the night. Cassi had dinner plans with Jeffery, but due to him pissing her off she decided she'd cancel on him. "Um, nothing. Nothing important, anyway. Why?" 

"That's it then." Moving towards the other side of the desk. He unfolded his arms as he took a step back from the desk. "You. Me. Dinner. Tonight. 7." He stated as he cleared his throat after saying what he did. It was a bold move but that's who he was. A bold person and he was rather sure that she wouldn't say no. There was a small chance she would say no but he didn't want to think about that. Not right now.

There was just something about Brent that had Cassi's bad mood fading, slowly but surely. Maybe it was just his aura, but she found herself giving him the tiniest of smiles. "Yeah... it's uh, nothing. Just one of those days." Of course she couldn't tell him about the fight with his father, not that she would if she could. "You seem pretty happy," she stated, pointing at his with her fork and giving him a look. "I'm assuming your father has something to do with that?" Cassi couldn't help but give this guy another once over. He was actually very cute and he honestly didn't look that much like his father. And he seemed to be a lot nicer than his father. Why am I comparing him to his dad? Stop it. With an unsatisfied sigh, she pushed the empty salad bowl to the side and dropped her fork. It was going to be a long day and the last thing she wanted to do was to spend the rest of the day with the man she was having an affair with who also happened to piss her off.

Not wanting to poke at whatever was happening with Cassi, he slightly shrugged and let out a deep breath. "..yeah. I am pretty happy, actually. I've just came up with a pretty amazing business plan, that's really all." He overlooked the blonde, wondering why she had decided to work here out of all places. Not that it was any of his business but he's heard stories, a lot, about the way his father treats some of his employees. "Anyway, what are your plans for tonight?" He asked as a smug smile played among his lips as he awaited her answer. If he was going to take a chance then it had to be now with his mood so high. Otherwise, it probably wouldn't happen whatsoever.

Giving the man a deadpan expression when he requested that she wish him luck, she bit back the urge to roll her eyes at him. Just because she was upset at his father didn't mean that she had to take it out on him, but still, she was not in the mood. Only a few minutes after Brent had walked into his father's office, Cassi's friend and Assistant to the CFO paid her a visit with some lunch-- a Caesar chicken salad with a side of french fries. An odd combination but it was her routine lunch ever since she started working there. "Thanks, Tiff." Giving the woman a smile, she pushed the salad to the side and began chowing down on her fries. Nearly half way through her lunch while pretending to type something of importance on her computer, she heard the familiar voice speak to her. Lifting her head, she set her fork down and gave him a look. "I wasn't grumpy," she lied. "How'd your meeting with Jeffr--Mr. Schneider go? Give you this week's allowance?" With a sweet smile, she picked her fork back up and stabbed a bit of her salad with it, bringing the bit to her mouth and tensely chewing the lettuce. Still upset with the man she was sleeping with, she could see him in the face of his son and it only made her that much more annoyed.

"You know, I do miss the days that I would get allowance. Twenty bucks a week was a lot back in the day. However, no. I did not get an allowance." He shrugged as he leaned against the desk of the blonde. "My meeting with Senior Schneider was all business and it went better than I expected it to go but enough about me. What's got you all..." Brent paused for a minute as he thought of what word to use before finally speaking up. "Worked up? The way you stabbed your salad there kind of scared me." He let a small chuckle as he folded his arms across his chest. Cassi was always someone he had interest in but most days, Brent would be in a rush to see his father. He had never actually got to have a full on conversation with her. It was always, 'hey how are you' 'good you' 'thanks i'm good too' 'can i go in and see my father' and that was that. Now that Brent was set with everything he needed there was actually nothing stopping him from getting to know Cassi now.

Freshly manicured nails tapped angrily against the keyboard, an annoying, yet dull headache growing and slowly making itself known. It was yet another day at the office for Cassi-- having to deal with obnoxious clients and making coffee runs for snobby employees. But that wasn't what had Cassi in a pissed off mood. It was the argument that she had with her boss, the CEO of the company, and the man she was having an affair with-- Jeffrey Schneider. What would've been a decent conversation about going out to dinner before ending the night at his secret apartment turned into a blowout fight. Still steaming from the stupid argument, Cassi was startled out of her angry typing. Looking up, she let out a sigh before nodding her head. "I'm sure it is..." she mumbled, picking up the phone beside her computer and pressing the number '3'. "Yes, Mr. Schneider? Your son is here to see you." Without letting a second to pass for him to respond, she hung up the phone-- or slammed the phone down-- before glancing back upward to the man standing at the desk. He was handsome, no doubting that-- but he was a Schneider, which meant that he couldn't be any good. "Your daddy'll see you now, hun." Her voice was icy, laced with annoyance and agitation.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Brent stated as he rolled his eyes at the blonde and headed straight towards the doors that his father was behind. "Wish me luck, Cas." He turned around and winked at the blonde, hoping that she would lighten up. Brent was in there for about 30 minutes before finally stepping out of his Dad's office and back to the entrance. A smile was plastered on his lips as he walked towards Cassi's desk once more. "Do you feel better now or are you still grumpy?" He asked, he didn't want to talk to her if she was going to be rude to him. Not that he really cared, he could still carry a conversation but he was in a good mood and nothing could ruin it. His father had just approved of his business plans and that's really all Brent ever needed. Although his relationship with his father isn't terrible but it's not great either so this was a start for the two to head into the right direction with their relationship.
