Forever drawing and obsessing

Making art is still the best way for me to deal with LARP bleed (when feelings you've had at a LARP event bleed over into your real life).

I was part of the Victorian murder mystery LARP "Death & Denial" last week. It was very Agatha Christie-coded and it was my very first ship LARP!

I played Owen Pembroke, an emotionally tortured poet who had fled to the sea to hide from his past. I love these kind of emotionally dramatic roles and I had such a blast playing him.

I was also so overjoyed to be playing one of the few queer characters at this event! "Bisexual disaster" was Owen's middle name. I got to play out such a sweet and tragic romance plot, and as fate would have it, almost all queer characters found each other, and they decided to live together! (maybe not very realistic in the 1830s, but one can dream).

So this is my little tribute to the queer ship <3 Alfred, Owen, Violet, and Abigail. Living happily ever after in my headcanon.

"We're Soiled Bones, and despite how injured we are, the show must go on!"

This is a little tribute to my Larp group, The Band, I recently got to play with on iHunt, a monster-hunting Larp by Poltergeist Larp.

We're playing the members of the emo/goth band Soiled Bones. We keep reminding everyone how cool we are because we're dead serious about our art. We also hunt monsters together, because our gigs don't pay enough, and life is expensive. But hunting monsters is dangerous, and we get injured quite often. So here are our characters, with the injuries they got during last event. Damian (played by @pinkfuckingfairy) got shot in the arm by a police officer, Angel (played by me) got bitten by a vampire, Gallows (played by Wibo), got their lower arm removed becasue of zombie rot, and Mara (played by Pencil) accidentally got into range of Damian's weapon.

I love our stupid fake band so much and I can't wait for event 2 next year!

Omen, the Dutch Larp organization I work for, has its twenty-year anniversary this year, and I got to make a design for an anniversary shirt! The design celebrates the village we've been playing in for twenty years and it includes all the iconic landmarks you can find in the village.

I'm super proud our fantasy event is twenty years old! There's some serious history in this game, and I'm happy to be a part of it.
