04.16.2016 // this is the last photo I got of my little stella before we had to put her down. she was the sweetest dog and we're heartbroken that this happened so suddenly. on wednesday we took her for a hike and she collapsed. we took her to the vet later that afternoon and again in the morning to find out that she had a tumor in her belly that was bleeding internally and likely malignant. she went from playful and cheery to sickly and lethargic immediately. within 24 short hours we went from shooing her away from the hole she was digging in the back yard, to saying goodbye and wiping the tears from the kids eyes while we explained why stella had to go. it was devastating. I learned a lot about myself and patience with stella and I'll always be grateful for her lessons. rip little buddy, we'll miss you.
