“BMO in the Pumpkin Patch” from digital sketch, to inks, WIP, and finish! Copic markers and multi liners on Canson marker paper, with some Prismacolor colored pencils for details. 🎃

Tweaked an ink drawing from a few years back and decided to redo it. Used marker on toned paper for the base, and then built up the details with colored pencil.

Two pieces that I created for an art show that was supposed to take place on the spring equinox 2020; unfortunately the show has been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic, so these will be staying safe at home for now!

Inktober 2018 is in the books! This was a real challenge, and the first time I’ve completed all 31 drawings (even if it was 6 days late). I learned a lot about different inking methods and which ones I like; my two favs ended up being a dip nib pen with India ink, and a Tombow Fudenosuke calligraphy pen. The nib gave tight control and consistent line weight, while the calligraphy pen also gave very good control with thicker line variance. Looking forward to practicing more with these and other inking methods throughout the next year!
