hey. it’s ok to miss them. they were a big part of your life, and you had some good times. times when you were happy. it’s ok to miss that, to miss the good things, the fun things. knowing you deserve better doesn’t mean you’re not going to miss them. It’s ok. what’s not ok is how they treated you. remember that.

this is not wasted time. time spent healing and growing and letting yourself feel all the things is never wasted.

Love takes practice. You won’t always get it right on the first try. You’ll love too hard and trip over your own feet. You’ll love too quietly and they won’t hear you. You’ll love just right and they won’t appreciate it. But you’ll never stop loving, and you’ll grow in your understanding of love until it fits just right. And one day someone will see you and be so happy to practice loving with you, it will all be worth it.

I think I’ll always be difficult to love
