hey, no one in particular ! my name is jamie and i run this page (that is mostly for me). a bit about me:

i'm american and i speak english + french (and, ideally, swedish sometime in the future)

i'm currently in university working towards my bachelor's degree in linguistics and french

i love playing hogwarts legacy and wizard101

ever since seeing the cursed child in chicago, i've been obsessed with scorbus

i draw and paint too, so if i produce any related content, perhaps i'll post that here as well :)

NO WAY.

throwback to when i saw cursed child in chicago (these are actually two separate occasions. i went first with my parents and then again with my friends). i had to look away at times (from the secondhand embarrassment i got from some of the acting), but the effects were incredible.

being my first time playing since the update, i had to play around with the new mod system. i will miss my old mods (especially visual), but i think i was able to replicate what i liked most about them.

i visited the new harry potter store in chicago this past weekend!

pros:

so immersive-feeling. felt like i was in universal again.

soooo much merch!

the ice cream was so delicious. my bf and i didn't buy any but this sweet worker gave us one that no one claimed so it didn't go to waste. absolutely delicious 10/10.

all the workers were so sweet.

the working mechanics were so cool! "flying" books, bertie botts wall with an interactive button, etc...

cons:

too crowded. we had to join an online queue and wait an hour to get inside.

maybe their recipe is different or i'm just not into it like i thought i would be, but their butter beer was not it...

the happee birthdae harry cake was so bad, like barely-edible bad. it was so dense and the frosting tasted like nothing. at least it looked cute.

the merch wasn't anything different than what they have at universal. it was a cool experience, but i wish they featured more exclusive merch (that wasn't a print totaling to $200+).

not enough seating. luckily, my bf and i were able to snag a table when we got our food, but so many people were just standing around the edges of the food area because there was no one to sit.
