Breadcrumbs From An Ancient Faith

I see all these different people and their denominations and religions and how they each have their own way of glorifying God. It’s daunting to know that none of them may be the right way (?), meaning what He actually intended for us to practice. It’s all distorted and imperfect somehow. Just like all things man touches.

Sometimes, I think that there is no right way. It’s difficult for me to think that He cares about all the technicalities that make a religion. But then again, sometimes, I think that these “technicalities” or rather, religion, isn’t as insignificant as it seems because it teaches us the way we live our faith, how we understand the nature of God, and how we interpret His Word.

It’s not easy to swallow that all of these billions of people dedicating their lives to who they think is The One True God, or what religion they were born into, are going to hell because of the way they were told to interpret scripture or how they practice worship or whatever they thought or were told was right and pleasing to God, or whoever they call him.

What can God do at this point though? He lived in communion with His creation, then was betrayed. He literally came down to our level and lived with humans, telling them The Right Way and still… here we are. A million different versions of “what he actually wanted to say.”

Oh well. Hopefully, the Lord will forgive us.
