“Spring is here” that's what  the joburgers have been screaming for the past few days. As a member of this city and a 85er, we also holding that banner up looking forward to much sun with the dehydration that goes with it.

At 85 commissioner street, down marshaltown we say “hello October” as we prepare a colorful page filled with amazing events and delicious recipes for the season. Our main focus will be more on the rums and gins. These two love the sun and the activities that accompany it.

We kick off the Friday with our traditional Love down town event, which is a night filled with lights an beautiful acoustic sounds from jozi’s upcoming artists. 6th of October its when its happening. 

14 October is JOBURG’s 50, a strictly by invite event. Meet and mingle is the name of the game. A true networking event from all jozi influencers from the smallest scale to the biggest level possible. Expect to see familiar faces and make sure you pick the right suit to fit. 25th October answers all the dirty posters on the street of Joburg that call for lost Love. Yep... SPEED DATING is here to cure all that, brass bar will create the best ambience to make sure you don't miss your soul mate. Candle lit conversation, delicious cocktails aftermath. make sure you schedule it on your calendar. 

VSTNG HRS, our monthly banger that brings all friends to gather and experience different sounds from indigo to lounge hip hop. event starts at 6pm on the 27 of October. A good day to be around good people with a good taste of Joburg.

Today was one of those very slow days, the snail was doing burn out on every second.Imagine how slow that is. Such crawling moments gives me opportunity to do all the chores around the bar, that’s what productivity is all about,right ?

Having not made an amazing cocktail to serve a thirst soul and waiting for my satisfying node makes my day miserable, so all i have to do is keep tidying the mess i keep making in my lab for the next few hours with hope that one person comes.

Tich tock tick tock i am counting down to the busy hour ....My answer always gets answered around 12, yes....lunch time. Two ladies stop by at the bar. We exchange greeting and then with a low exhale, one of the ladies orders the ER drink, Long Island Ice tea. I call it that because it gets to work right away. The corp-orates order this to forget morning madness and it gives extra strength for the rest of the day, only if you are not operating heavy machinery.

Anyway its one of the magical portions with all the truth in it,

 Rum, tequila, gin, vodka and triple sec to give it the sizzle. Shaken to mix it well then topped  up with cola.Long straw with ice and garnish with a wheel of lemon.

With the portion served, i could see the body at ease and conversations starting to flow comfortably.

Highlight of the week,

 All the excitement is centred around  new cocktails added on the menu. We have classics for the die-hards and surprises for the open minded mouths. all we have to say to you 2017 will be an amazing year.

Monday_We going easy on you, because its Monday we know the weekend has been busy so is the work load. so you dictate the pace.

Tuesday_the day we go to the basics with Classic serving of all beverages from Cocktails to beers. Mojitos to Zamalek.

Wednesda_all you do is walk in to the bar ask for the wine for the week, let your palate discover new wines. its wine tasting from lunch time till traffic time. 

Thursday_Thirsty thursday they are now known, Beer Cocktails are on show. Refreshing-Tantalizing-Quenching.

Friday_ Corona fridays, we go all out on the day to give you amazing Corona experience, if you stick around you will be moved by the amazing music from Jozi top Djs.

Saturday_ Experimental Saturday, perfect day to play around with new inventions, 

our operational time are from 11 am to 11 pm.
